Honorbuddy Bans Statement

I just wanted to say thanks for the post

But also mention something weird.

I got banned a week ago for botting, a 72-hour suspensions.

It then got lifted 2 days ago, and i havent been on that account since and it still got banned.

Meanwhile the battlechest i bought during the 72-hour ban, and have been botting on and doing dungeon farming at level 90, is not banned. I logged off it last night at around 20:00 GMT+1, so maybe the detection happened sometime after that?

 

your way off. sure it would make sense if HB was working and not detectable (as it once was). the only reason these people played the game was because they could bot and enjoy the game and ignore the monotony

I also got banned.
This is my 2nd ban on a 10 years old account. (and 2 other bans on accounts I didnt care for)

Was questing (low lvl15) monitored while watching tv.

I think this was the last blow, and after 2 previous failed attempts, I am finally leaving wow.

*edit: Seems like its a 6 months ban after all and not a perma ban.

We payed all the month for this fucking game and now 6 month bann .....

 

To be honest. The ONLY reason I'm still playing WoW is because of HB. That's right blizzard, you just lost a customer. Literally stopped playing WoW years ago right after WoTLK but decided to come back. Played for like 30 minutes and quit. Decided to bot because a friend reccomended it. Started playing again from MoP on. Paid for roughly a year + worth of sub. Only really botted for monotonous shit like daily garrison mining/herb farming--nothing else. Now this shit happens and well, I quit. FFXIV and other MMO's will occupy my time and money now.

 

Been playing WoW since 2006 and have used Honorbuddy since Cata to farm gold.

I just want to say thank you so much for the great service.

It is amazing to see how active the devs are and how often we get updates to HB, which really puts to shame what Blizzard does. I have only come back to WoD last month and have started botting around the same time to level and PvP gear up.

I do not think I will be returning to WoW after my ban is up. In fact, this is the final nail in the coffin for this game. When 95% of the time you spend botting and 5% actually having fun, there really is something wrong. This really is a blessing in disguise as I am not sad about getting banned. The fact that I couldn't care less shows that this game just isn't what it used to be anymore.

How many banned people buy new accounts just to play legit this time to how many people will quit due to the bot bans remains to be seen. The fact is a lot of guilds, RBG, and arena teams will be losing core members. I know my guild lost our MT and several DPS (me included) today for garrison bots. Judging from my twitter, a lot of my PvP mates also got hit hard and will not be in-game for six months.

Oh well, for those who are going to wait for their 6 months to be up, lesson learned- invest in a second WoW account with alt characters to bot on

At least they didn't ban us a week from now after we bought our new Runesaber mount

 

Agreed. No one will come back or buy new accounts when they know they have to do EVERYTHING by hand, LOL. it's what he said, the reason those people were still playing this game was the Bot. I would have quit playing WoW years ago if I didn't have honorbuddy. Now I don't even want to appeal my ban, because why would I? To come back and do everything by hand? lol, never ever.

 

So many wow twitch famous pvpers and raiders were banned.. Even people using tmorph banned, people using any 3rd party tool so its not a HB detection its anything that was changing the game. You got people that are glads that are banned..

 

I just read there was a new 32 bit client hook released last month, wish i had seen earlier. New 32-bit Detection Method Added

The timing also fits as some ppl have been banned having not played for some time. Well make sure to cancel your subs.

i've lost 10 year account i got 6 mounths ban yesterday night until november. I havent played wow for 2 days..and yesterday night i receveid mail ban from blizzard.
How is possible, i havent played for 2 days and get ban? Something was wrong....they was able to find a way to detected HB.
Finally for me and for all u guys this game is died there is not fun anymore ; milion of bot everywhere, pvp totaly bored and broken, class umbalanced and cr abused, stupid and bored raid dungeons, random nerf class, garrison kids 5 years old game. i not will come back buying a new wod account.
But i hope HB will come back more strong than now.

anyway , like another poster said, i was only playing bc of HB, if HB isnt working wow isnt matter )))) time to get CCNA ) and convince myself to not buy next expac from wow, i personally think this is wow end, too many ppl affected, no more ppl pon servers/guilds/raids/AH all fucked .

Luckily I took a break, otherwise I would have gotten my second ban since 2005.
Everybody I introduced to botting is banned, which is like 10 people.
I never got so many Skype messages In such a short time basically blaming me for the bans...

Your simply taking information out of context, if you read everything thoroughly bots from other companies had been detected twice a year, did that stop them no, so what did, a court case... HB will be back up and running, fuck me it's only been a day relax.
HB works fine, it is only offline to protect accounts and so the HB team can investigate new methods to help prevent further detection... This won't be the end of HB or WoW lmao

 

And this is why we should of had HB on 64bit...sigh

 

Don't think so. They are probably looking at subtle signs bots leave behind. If they could just check click to move users and look at them closely they will be closer to identifying bots. Everything can be detected it just takes time. They are probably not looking for software (HB) itself but actions. There are false positives but they also got good amount of true botters.

 

i have a demonbuddy license im going to bot 24/7 right now until my cpu burns.
