HB is not the reason for ban.

I lost all my account at this wave. I found some of my accounts which haven't logged into wow for 2 weeks got an 6 month ban. And some accounts never use HB also got ban. After analyze this account. I knew the reason how blizzard caught me. I think HB is not the reason for this ban wave.
So is there any person who have just only one wow account and still been banned?

 

Yes.

Only 1 -long time- account and botted only a little. No PvP, No auctions, no intensive farm, no golds on the account (recently bought a token with real money because i was low, so really no farm at all^^). Only fishing 1 hour from time to time under supervision to craft 125 foods, enyo on alt, and also leveled an alt from 90 to 100 with Kick's.

I'm pretty sure they are aware and they detect HB from a long time. It was just too widely used, and a ban wave like this one was not good for their subs. Why now?

Probably because they are now selling golds themselves (they want to kill the gold sellers).

Why then a so large ban wave, including players like me who honestly weren't a problem for gold or PvP...?

Don't know. Maybe they just want to kill HB and i think they will reach their goal.

 

whats the reason you think blizzard caught you? I haven't been banned yet, i got only 1 account. used a lot of questing bot to lvl alt (probably 10 lvl 100s in the past 2-3months) and a lot of enyo for raid and some other random stuff. but im not sure im going to play anyways if HB doesn't update anymore, game is too repetitive and my sub runs out in 10 days

 

Yes. One 10 year old account, used HB the last time 3 weeks ago. I only used Garrisonboss, for about 30 minutes a day. That's it. Got a 6 month ban tonight. The reason is HB. Regardless of when you used HB the last time - they are able to track this back.

 

Accounts i just resubscribed did NOT get a ban (within the last week)

Any account active since the last thing we were not allowed to call a banwave, seem to be the ones that got hit with the ban hammer.

 

HB WAS DETECTED..

For those who where banned; the date and time was I unknown.. Your account was online using HB when the did the scan...

For those who where no banned; Your account was not online user HB when they did the scan.

Somewhere between Friday the 10th and the 30th of may, the scan was done.

 

I believe that honor buddy is not the reason... The NEW Terms and Agreements that came with the update this past Tuesday I think had a lot to do with it. I think they embedded a program to scan for honor buddy on your system. ( I tried to read through it and see if they changed it where they could look at the programs you run. BUUUUT... THATS A LOT OF CRAP TO READ....) That would explain those that hadn't played in a while getting banned. So maybe the Bossland team could check this and see? I believe there lies the problem.

 

If they can confirm you have used Bot. You will receive an perma ban not just 6 month.

Maybe, but there is ppl that hasn't been on in months came back to wow and was banned.

They perfectly know for HB.
Numbers are hard to confirm but seem like we speak about 100.000+ accounts only for EU.
They won't permaban so many accounts, and they give you a chance to come back and buy their new expansion.
Financially, it is nevertheless a blow to them.

 

Well the 6 month ban I think is the slap on the wrist for everyone, and the reason they didn't perma ban is bc of the financial hit the company would take.... Half a mil or more ppl cut from wow... Thats a lot of $$$$ out of pocket...

 

Or possibly they used the IP's from which all of us are posting and linked them to our accounts....???

 

Got the 6 month ban this morning. Honestly if it was something like 1-2 months I'd probably come back and play again, without the bot. But 6 months is enough for me to finally give this game up. I doubt I'll have any desire to come back to WoW after a 6 month forced break.

 

I have one account even not have a char got an 6 month ban. I never use this account before.

I always tought it would happen one day, but i was confident that they would first give a small 3 day ban as a warning to just catch those who continue but I was wrong.
Will appeal in a few days, when they have measured the damage, but i think the ban will remain unchanged, so it's over for me.

 

This is not a true statement (referring to the beginning), I had a lengthy conversation over 4 hours with a Game Master from blizzard. They hit only those who have used Honorbuddy or Bots, he expressed that if others whom were banned who had not used it, was simply because of something in TOS they were doing, which had just been coincidental, Those who were banned, were done so by the developers 'which he would not give', but did stress the reason for the 6 month ban was simply to slap people on the hand for using bots, the last wave they perma banned, but this particular time they did not because of the sheer volume of people using bots. He was straight forward. I tried to convince him to allow first time offenders to have a short ban, but he did express blizzard was trying to send a message, by the 6 month ban, most people would quit. he is aware of that.

but yes, he was adamant on stating that they had found a new way to detect the bots and would not be specific, but was certain that the development team unleashed on a single date to make the statement, he had mentioned they had the access to snapshot "RAM" as you agreed to it this last patch, and by agreeing, you said it was okay. He did however say though a 6 month ban, that they might lighten it, but they want people to feel the sting.. as for me. I was finished because in 6 months I might not even be playing...

again this came after a very lengthy conversation to them.

 

last time i played was in march, end of march i think
and i botted hardcore with gladiatorsuite etc.
and im not banned.

 

Im a bit confused, I got banned like you guys, and yea abused the dam bot in raiding scenario, though, I used to level my girlfriend toons (5 of them) to 100, and her account is still active and runing, I think I stoped leveling her toons line in early April, maybe March?

Ofc we both use computers in 32bits mode, click to move as bot requests, so, the scan they did cant be client side, or my gf would be detected as well, needs to be in game, but I agree, that stupid game sux balls without HB,

I never ran the both without being looking at screen, in raids i never auto moved, auto target, auto heal, just the basic routine with enyone and tuha shammy payied for...
