He is correct , I got this today in response from Blizzard after getting the same email everyone got yesterday. These accounts are gone for good peeps. Get over and move on. Do some yard work, get out and live a little now... "First let me apologise for the amount of time it's taken us to get back to you. We're trying to assist everyone as quickly as we can. Your World of Warcraft account has been permanently closed due to a direct breach of the Terms of Use. We take these types of issue very seriously, and a full investigation is done before any action taken. In this case we have deemed that the evidence provided is correct and the action will not be overturned. We have to take the measures to maintain the integrity of the game and for our community as a whole. We cannot provide in depth details about the closure aside from what has already been emailed.
I have no clue why any of you are arguing semantics. If you received an email that you are suspended for 6 months, you're suspended for 6 months. My account says I'm banned in several places, but the emails I received very CLEARLY said my accounts are under a 6-month suspension and clearly give the date of November 13th when I'll be able to access them again.
I am very disturbed about wether the ban is 6 months or permanent. I haven't got a response yet from a GM and people are saying different outcomes in this thread.
Maybe they have to say this in order to kill every hope you have. "Oh no its perma ban ? Hum maybe im gonna stop this game so or im gonna buy NOW a new expac with load of blizz shit"
Go read your ban email. Does it say a 6 month suspension? Does it give the date when you'll be able to access the account again? If it does, why wouldn't you believe that? Blizz's system isn't setup to give you every damn nuance to how your account will be handled. Go by what that email tells you. Frankly it doesn't matter one way or the other. You aren't going to be able to do anything with your account for at least 6 months. If it bothers you that much, just wait for a response from a GM. it seems like half the GM's have no clue about anything anyways, so you may get 2 completely different answers from 2 GM's anyways. Just go by what the email tells you.
Wrote a ticket yesterday and in the answer was this part: "Unfortunately we had to temporarily lock your World of Warcraft license because of a violation of our policies. We have sent you an e-mail with further details on this incident, but can tell you that this lock will last for 6 months. After this time you will be able to continue playing normally." But when i look in the launcher there is no unlocking date, but the permaban. Maybe internal Problems in communication? I'm EU
Just basic ticket answer when you get ban. Blizzard blame bots but they are using bots to answer tickets haha
THERE IS NO FUCKING UNLOCK DATE ON THE LAUNCHER, NOT FOR YOU, NOT FOR ANYONE. THAT MEANS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Jesus, if the fucking email you got said you got a 6 month suspension, you got a 6 month suspension. Why are you guys over-analyzing this. It's not fucking rocket science. What are you going to do? Keep your launcher running for the next 6 months just to see if it starts counting down? Either open a new account and play that for the next 6 months or play something else. Stop analyzing this, it's not doing you any good.
Your World of Warcraft account is currently under a temporary suspension due to a breach of our policies. We have already sent an email with more details but can inform you that the suspension will last for 6 months. You will be able to play again after this time. Beyond that, we have no additional information that we are allowed to disclose.
The launcher assume any ban over 72 hours is account closure, Until now after 72 hours it was perm ban, that have not updated there system that's all.. If your email says 6 months then you have been banned for 6 months.. In saying that, some account have been permanaly closed, 3 accounts of mine that have had multiple botting infractions where closed, however my email Said is was a permanant ban, and if I wish to play again I would need to too buy a new account... Some of these accounts have had 4 or 5 accounts closures and reopens
Slow down please, thanks. I've hoy 6 months suspension on mail, and 6 months suspension on reply of my ticket. My arena mate (and gmate, btw) got 6 months suspension on mail, but perma on the reply of their ticket. I haven't opened this thread to nothing.
My question to those that got 6 month suspension. Have you logged into manage your account online and checked the status of the account. Mine said i was permanently banned, even though my email stated 6 month suspension.
Put it this way, this is a 6 month for first offenders, others with priors got the hammer. I'm fairly certain that if you start botting again after November your account is toast. This was your lone warning from Blizzard that they can see us, and they aren't mucking about with it. Only Bossland can tell us how many licenses are out there, but Kotaku claimed over 100k accounts were sanctioned. In the scheme of things, that's 1.5 million bucks per month out of Blizzard's fat ass wallet, 9 million over the course of this suspension. Any publicly traded company willing to throw away 9 million bucks just to make a point is insane and could possibly do anything. I cannot WAIT to hear the 2Q numbers in July, they're going to look like absolute shit. I'm wiping my system clean this weekend for reinstall and HB will not be part of it.
stop guessing and just contact CS. if you are lucky, you will get an actual human that will tell you the truth about your account.
You forget that GMs are humans too! And with every following appeal, he could change the action not only in favor to the banned person, but in the opposite direction too - to the hardest one - account closure!
Your friend probably received an automated response. If the email says they received a 6 month suspension, they received a 6 month suspension. Your thread title is clearly misleading...You said yourself that the email was correct, then you go onto say that it's not correct because your friend is permanently banned.
