That's ugly sorry, basically he was saying how he used Honorbuddy to bot rotations and that's why he was able to avoid the banwave but me, which I did use to bot garrison cause it is tedious, was banned for the bot movement. Do you by any way have the ability to answer if this is indeed why? He said he had talked to a GM said "I'm rotation botting" and the GM said something like "OK, and.."

OK, but there's also many others on fourms such as "The Buddy Forum" and "Code Deception" that are claiming that they also got away from this banwave because they never botted a task such as gathering or other. So if I put the pieces together your "Confirm nor deny" would 'confirm' the theory. But say it's all just chance that some got banned and some didn't could we see bans for users that are using the bot to do just rotations or that didn't get hit by the wave. I intend to come back to WoW

After the ban and play it as it's intended to be played. But I'm debating coming back to a biased game where users are allowed to bot some things and not others. For instance (You can't answer this) but soapbox rotations has not been software detected and they are barely any bans from their software.

I don't intend on botting in the future. I am curious as to why my friend would not have been banned. I want to play WoW in the future but if it's a biased game where these users play with the bots and I don't and are topping the charts, getting into my guild raids without actually knowing anything about the game how's that something I want to do in the future? I'm just looking if action will be taken against the users who use the bot for rotations as it was taken against users who bot gather

Edit: GM may specify that they cannot detect ROTATIONS but can detect MOVEMENT BASED BOTTING

 

English must not be your first language, cuz everything you thought he said, he did not say.

He said if he provided you information it would help people exploit the game in ways that they are not currently detection, this is pure logic. If he told you how they detected HB, its rather simple to avoid it, duuh?

He didnt confirm or deny anything, he tried to explain something to you with basic logic, and you werent capable of comprehending what he said.

Why would someone give a GM the name of the botting program they used in hopes of the GM telling them that its not detected? It seems very counter productive.

The bold green colored test is purely out of the context, which is just an example of hypothetical situation, with intention to illustrate the example to you.

luck... you botted at a time when they detected and at that time your friend didnt it's that simple.

 

The GM is a non-technical person and has no idea what mechanism was used to detect Honorbuddy. Its a mistake to read too much into an unguarded comment or two.

 

PLEASE stop spamming GM's. Doing so only makes them more aware of us and MORE of a problem they have to deal with.
