This is the latest response from Customer Support:
Greetings! This is Xarkhorin from the Game Master Department.

Your World of Warcraft account is currently under a temporary suspension due to a breach of our policies. We have already sent an email with more details but can inform you that the suspension will last for 6 months. You will be able to play again after this time.

Please note that no further action will be taken if there are no more breaches of the Terms of Use or policies. Check below for more information.

The game client may monitor your computer's RAM and/or CPU processes for unauthorized third party programs running concurrently with the game.

An unauthorized third party program is defined as any third party software (including Addons) that facilitates cheating; intercepts, mines or collects information from the game database; or allows modifying or hacking of the game interface, environment or experience in any way not expressly authorized by Blizzard Entertainment. In your case we can confirm that these programs were used to gain in-game advantage.

This action has been taken in accordance with our Terms of Use and our In-game Policies (Rules Regarding In-Game and Forum Conduct - Battle.net Support), which all players acknowledge and agree to prior to playing World of Warcraft. These policies and conditions allow us to maintain a fun and safe game environment for all of our players.

Our Battle.net Terms of Use can be found at Blizzard Entertainment: Battle.net Terms of Use. Further information on the different levels of account penalty we can apply is available at
      https://battle.net/support/article/200475.

We now consider this matter closed and would not look to enter into further discussion on the subject.

Addons that collect data from the database? That would make tsm addon illegal?

If you read the agreements you clicked to, Blizzard can ban any account for anything they see fit. They don't have to supply a reason or even have a reason.

      • [h=4]ACCOUNT SUSPENSION/CANCELLATION.[/h]BLIZZARD MAY SUSPEND, TERMINATE, MODIFY, OR DELETE ACCOUNTS AT ANY TIME FOR ANY REASON OR FOR NO REASON, WITH OR WITHOUT NOTICE TO YOU. Accounts terminated by Blizzard for any type of abuse, including without limitation a violation of these TOU, a Game-specific Terms of Use, or a Game EULA will not be reactivated for any reason. For purposes of explanation and not limitation, most account suspensions, terminations and/or deletions are the result of violations of these TOU, a Game-specific Terms of Use, a Game EULA or other Blizzard policy. You may cancel the Account registered to you at any time by requesting that your personal information be removed from the Account, as specified in Blizzard’s Privacy Policy. Blizzard may stop offering and/or supporting the Service at any time.

That is pretty unethical for a business to "view a select portion" of our processes

read the part that says "in any way not expressly authorized by Blizzard Entertainment." that leaves it up to blizzard to decide when they want to be dickholes! so for now addons are ok but at anytime they could stop them.

They are well within their rights to view their own process...it would be rather difficult to have a working program which didn't.

Talking about Big Brother watching our RAM and processss - If its so, why users cant change the Honorbuddy.exe info to make the different hash summ, i tried with the Restorator but then programm is not working. Different random routes and some changes of runfile can make some profit i think. And if HB really programmed to hide from warden at last we will have only filters?

This over-analyzing of everything is getting ridiculous.

You were banned for botting, you knew you were breaking the rules. As it's already been said, Blizz doesn't have to provide you with any evidence as to why you were banned.

If you don't like it, fight it in the courts. Go ahead and sue blizz for the damage that's been incurred upon you. By the time anything actually even happens with your case, your account will be un-suspended and you'll be back playing again.

This information you guys are providing is completely unreliable. Do you really think GM's know anything about their game? It seems like most of them don't even play anymore. You can't really take the response of people that send out canned messages all day as the truth.

      /agree with ryft

      that email is not new.

its not 'finally a response from blizzard'

you are just late to the game.

if you live in the US, you waived your right to the 4th amendment when you agreed to the terms. that is a written consent to search your ram. its worded so you give consent, or you dont play.

if you live in the EU, i welcome any links to reference material regarding the searches. id like to learn a bit about it. links to actual laws, or judgements.

I just heard from a friend who said he got banned, but didnt use HB, but something called mailopener - which is available from curse. He appealed and ofc nothing. So now it makes me wonder how belligerent/blind Blizz is being in what theyre banning for and to a lesser extent how reliable an addon manager like curse is? :s

i didnt bot when i came back after 5 months, but i used TSM ( tradeskillmaster ) Its not allowed to use addons that gather info from the database.Used consortium plugin with it. so imo, im banned cause i used an addon as well? If not, blizzards collecting of data goes back 6 months as i havnt botted since.

Shit ey I also use auctioneer and I think tsm but got rid of it because it was a PITA to me and elvui a couple of days before I got banned (for exploiting ingame mechanics).. But it seems like Blizz aint gonna listen whether or not one has a legit reason to appeal which imo will cost them subs more than it would when suspensions are up. The arbitrary nature of this triggerhappy bansession is more than enough to make me think twice about coming back legit or not

id be more concerned with your friends story. did your friend make up the excuse to hide his botting activity from you?

the first rule of botting in-game: we dont talk about botting in-game.

ive used excuses before to hide my botting activity. my favorite is 'they tied my farm account with my main' and when people ask why i have a farm account, i tell them its so i can sit in org on my main, and i can farm mats on my other monitor at the same time. most suspect, few know.
