I've just had the T&C popped up and I read a little.

Consent to Monitor. WHEN RUNNING, A GAME MAY MONITOR YOUR COMPUTER'S RANDOM ACCESS MEMORY (RAM) FOR UNAUTHORIZED THIRD PARTY PROGRAMS RUNNING CONCURRENTLY WITH THE GAME. AN "UNAUTHORIZED THIRD PARTY PROGRAM" AS USED HEREIN SHALL BE DEFINED AS ANY THIRD PARTY SOFTWARE PROHIBITED BY SECTION 1(C)(ii) ABOVE. IN THE EVENT THAT THE GAME DETECTS AN UNAUTHORIZED THIRD PARTY PROGRAM, (angel) THE GAME MAY COMMUNICATE INFORMATION BACK TO BLIZZARD, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION YOUR ACCOUNT NAME, DETAILS ABOUT THE UNAUTHORIZED THIRD PARTY PROGRAM DETECTED, AND THE TIME AND DATE; AND/OR (beer) BLIZZARD MAY EXERCISE ANY OR ALL OF ITS RIGHTS UNDER THIS AGREEMENT, WITH OR WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE TO THE USER.

SO.. How will HB get around this?

As has been said many..many...many times since the banwave, Blizzard has always had the rights to scan your memory for any applications directly interacting with the WoW.exe process; this includes bots which inject into it's memory space. This clause does not give them permission to scan all your memory processes.

Honorbuddy was always able to hide from Warden's scanning by keeping their software updated shortly after any WoW patch to avoid new detection methods...until recently, but it was a really good 5 year run.

Do you think your the first person to read the TOS ?

Do you not think the only lawyers in the world that have been able to defeat blizzard have not read the TOS ?

The devs and legal team would be well aware and way more knowledgable is such area then anyone on these forums, it's what they do find a living..

Think about that the next time you have have an idea to post a thread.

You say that, they might have had it detected long ago, but they decided to wait out the lawsuit. If I was blizzard I'd much rather vanquish honorbuddy as a company than ban players from my game. You get rid of the biggest bot and a lot of problems fix themselves.
