Hello friends. I am new to RB and I have been finding it hard to level alt classes. Sure, the original 50 is easy but thats due to the main story line quests. Every other class you level after that is very hard for me because I have no idea what to do. So, what is best way to level up your other classes? I try grind mode only but around levels 30+ it takes a good 3-4 hour just for one level.
lol fate grinding is your best best if you wanna bot... if you wanna play by hand and bot dungeons / fate grinding / hunting logs / guildhests / levequests
I died laughing. Fates. If you're going to bot fates and fates and fates. It is the quickest way. If you are at least able to semi pay attention then I recommend doing fates and getting your daily low level dungeon out of the way and doing each guildhest a first time for that job and doing the daily one as well.
by the looks of how it's going for me i've basically AFKed it leveling up 5 classes at the same time... looks like it's gonna take about 2 weeks to get 250 levels... thats basically pure fate grinding
Matt84, I'm curious as to what you do for gear. I'm doing a similar thing with only certain classes, but after a couple levels my gear gets so behind that I die often. Are you going out and buying gear early on to fill the entire level range or just sticking with what you have?
you can download the Agil plugin, set that to autoequip best in slot gear from what you have. Then go buy gear for yourself in whatever increments you feel is necessary. Put the gear in your armoury and press start. Agil will auto swap out the gear for you.
Well, you want to keep your weapon as up to date as possible. That one item is almost as important as every other gearslot combined. Update the rest of your gear when you can; if a piece is more than 10 levels below your current level, start looking for a replacement. Since you're doing fates, you should have a large amount of GC seals to use, which should suffice for the most part. Fill in the few remaining slots from the MB or vendors. Leveling gear is pretty damn cheap, but if for some reason you're out of gil, you can spend a day gathering shards or something for an easy million or so.
I guess I should probably throw a little clarification in here. I DO use Agil. I DO buy gear regularly. My question was more tailored toward the "leveling five classes at once" scenario. That can really fill up the Armory chest pretty quickly if that's what's the best solution. While I was leveling Dragoon I had a little time on the side to level Rogue, Warrior, and Gladiator. I didn't get them much above 15ish because of gear mostly. Yes, I know I can go out and buy new gear for each job I want to level but again, that starts to get stuff a little filled up. Not a big deal considering it really seems like that's the only viable way to do it.
What I did was level DoW and DoM separately, and between DoW I leveled BRD + NIN together so I didn't need +dex gear anymore when I finished. Then for +STR and lastly you do the DoM after that. Should be ok. Also you can level Miner and Botanist with some really good profiles and that alone should give you enough gil to buy all the gear you might need for leveling. G'luck!
