There has been alot of talk about what bl!zz does and why? If they feel like banning/suspending 500K accounts, they can. If they feel like not banning, they can. This *IS* their game. Users only rent the licence to play on their servers. They can ban/suspend/restore on a whim with no reasons given. Yes we have all had the "abuse of economy" Or "Third party program" bans but how many have actually went to court to find out exactly what they mean? These are just a way for Bl!zz to reason away the bans/suspensions. As a good friend pointed out number 6 - Blizzard Entertainment:World of Warcraft Terms of Use Code:

Account Suspension/Deletion. BLIZZARD MAY SUSPEND, TERMINATE, MODIFY, OR DELETE ANY BNET ACCOUNT OR WORLD OF WARCRAFT ACCOUNT AT ANY TIME FOR ANY REASON OR FOR NO REASON, WITH OR WITHOUT NOTICE TO YOU. For purposes of explanation and not limitation, most account suspensions, terminations and/or deletions are the result of violations of this Terms of Use or the EULA.
Anyone that has been around long enough knows that more than a few legit player got hammered along with Glider. Same as it was on the 13th of may this year. How many legit players got their bans/suspensions overturned? Or for that matter how many botters did? No-one knows. Not HB or Bl!zz. The point of this rant is that at the end of the day this is Bl!zzs' game and they can and will do what they want. So bot on.
Lol first thing come to mind was the threads about " I havent been banned yet" I guess most botters dont know that blizzard can hold your account in the air for a long time until one day they get pissed and smash that hammer on it.
'Whos got two thumbs and a ban hammer?" *this guy* Glider days ftw. At least GMs had fun with you back then. All serious and shit nowadays
haha yea I remember them teleporting me to the gm isle then to the middle of the sea then back again. I would be calling out "wtf is happening" then they would kill you res you kill you res you until they get bored then BAM!. But now days its like "BOT" "BAN"
I think, you omit the whole legal point of view. You have legal contract with Blizzard, and since you as everyone are having obligations by the country laws, the appropriate obligations do have Blizzard as corporations too. If they do ban you for any reason, in possible claim they are forced to give the court solid reasons behind their action of 1-way breaching the contract. If their "reasons" have no legal ground, then they should be forced to fulfill the contract. But the sad truth is, that only few of these 100k+ account holders would give their time and money to fill such claims vs Blizzard, so the corporation do not care if they have to reopen a few accounts out of the masses.
Same mentality which applies to a botting forum that morally objects to rmt inquiries lol. Always find hypocrisy funny especially when it's blatant. Tbh blizzard obviously can do whatever they want but they have people to answer to and as a business have to be very careful what they do and when in order to stay as far as possible in the black. Hence the reason everyone got 6m and not perma for example. Blizzard sucks anyhow. Jumped the shark long ago when they got drunk on casuals playing and started letting devs take the back seat on design decisions to pre teen first time mmorpg players.
Blizzard listening to the larger audience? No way! When your hardcore player base is, at the most, 4% of the population, guess who's not going to get listened to. That's not just Blizzard, that's any company that wants to make money.
Actually, they had problems with the above. At certain point between early expansions, Blizz realized that only 2 to 5% of the wow population had seen/experienced the up-to-date raid instances(Before introducing the diverse quality/quantity dungeons in WOTLK) And they definitely invested tons of efforts into designing and balancing them.
Aion, what's the point you're trying to make? Blizzard's number 1 priority is to appease the most number of customers possible. I guess math is difficult for most people but 96-99% of the population is a lot higher than the 1-4% of hardcore players. Which do you think blizzard would rather lose? the 96%, or the 4%? Which would be more detrimental to their bottom line?
Again, stupid people don't read these threads and then think "WoW, this guy is right, maybe I shouldn't post my useless thread"
my buddy and i were playing a game together. we agreed that whoever lost the game, would get punched in the face by the other. fork me, i lost and got punched right in the face. but what he doesnt realize is, we were playing in my front yard and even though i invited him into my yard, he was trespassing when he came in the house to help me clean up my bloody nose. he is so screwed, i am getting that punch overturned cause trespassing is illegal. i win, right?
