Very confused as I was running HB fine the past few days and all of a sudden this morning HB doesn't even load when i click to start the program. This is the 3rd time this has happened and its very frustrating having to re-install every few (or every other) day. Any ideas as to why this is happening?? I've looked through most the forums and have set exceptions for my anti-virus, ran buddy wizard, have all the right installs so there's 0 reason the program shouldn't run. Thanks.
As most people don't seem to have this problem its going to be something on your PC interfering with HB. Uninstall your Anti-Virus completely. Check what's been installed recently. Maybe even do a scan with Malwarebytes?
this could be caused be HB when shutingdown. some versions are more worse with saving settings then other, but this one is really bad. just delete the settings files from the chars you have problems with
Thanks for all the input. It works again because i went through the entire re-installation process. It doesn't seem to be character specific as the program itself doesn't load on my desktop at all. I gave HB all permissions and it doesn't conflict with my antivirus because I made sure HB is excluded from any/all interactions with Norton. Aside from the re-install process I literally haven't downloaded anything aside from a couple small profiles. I also worked on a few profiles myself but they all ran fine and didn't cause any problems so I don't believe it has to do with any of those. I will look into what else could be interfering with HB though not sure what could be. Ill look into Malwarebytes and will also try deleting the settings files if it happens again.
