Is any doing a dungeon team at level 90 or is there some sort of script that bans you fairly quickly?
Show me proof that you''ll get banned very quickly. Keep in mind that 5-10 posts in the ban section doesn't mean you'll get banned quickly. For example, I ran several teams of 90's running heroic MoP dungeons for about 6 months, 6 nights a week, making between 50-80k a night. Zero bans. Just because a small sample says they got banned doing it, it doesn't mean everyone will.
From my experience mop heroic dungeon teams get banned after few days. Lost around 6 teams before banwave and one after the banwave
Were you doing it 24/7 and how many days did they last? I'm trying to make money doing this so I was just wondering how long they typically last to see if it's profitable.
I was banned after few days of 24/7 of mop heroics. I also tried to bot them for like 5-10 hours a day, got banned again...
i did these from the 5$ battlechest sale and made about 600 usd before bans , 5 man teams are great but dont expect longevity
Yeah, blizzard updated their scripts a couple of months into WoD which now makes botting 5-man dungeons really hard. dont expect more online time than 3-4 hours a day if you want longevity. I ran 8 teams for 3-4 months, and then after the script update they just dropped one after the other. Good €20k profit though
I did let them run not more than 16 hours a day, but thats too much. Right now I'm confused what to do in future, as my new accounts got banned after 2 days of leveling with Cava's... looks like I have shit on my fingers at the moment...
im @ same spot with botting i have over 40 hb key's + pc's just gethering dust i started not so long ago and most i did was 5men now after few times wich ended in total loss i dont know how 2 bot for profit eny more is there eny one who succesfuly bot 5 men after blizz update scripts ? is there eny one who succefuly bot for profit difrent way on large scale now after banwave ?
That's correct. 5-10 reports are significative, though, when there are no reports of success doing so since the ban. that's 5-10 against 0 reported. Yeah, everybody botted 5 man's and got huge benefits in the past; that experience shouldnt be applied to the current situation as the factors have changed. I think we should be really cautious with fast analysis at this point. The honesty of BL acknowledging that they hadn't found a technical reason for the ban, plus the efforts to minimize HB's offense, do not set the situation for feeling safe at all botting at this time. That's a fair approach.
Nobody's going to report success, because more and more people will start using that particular method, creating competition and getting more attention from Blizzard. Especially when the Chinese bot legions join the fun, that killed both 5-man and solo dungeoning too.
There seems to be some misconceptions about how it works. Let me once again explain for all the new people. You have 3 types of bans: 1. Detection - The bot is simply detected by warden/blizzard. These bans are extremely rare because the buddy team is awesome. 2. Player reports - Players report, these reports build up until a GM is involved - checks you out - slaps you with a ban. These bans are common amongst casual botters. 3. Filter bans - You thought it would be an awesome idea to get Insanity title by botting 24/7 killing one type of mob. You hit a filter - which is pre set by blizzard to find non-human behaviour. No person would do insanity grind for 3 days straight in this day and age. Over the course of the last 3-4 years these filters continuously change. At the moment they're extremely aggressive for 5-man dungeon botting -making this type of gold making almost impossible. So how do these filters work? Well no one knows, one could do educated guesses ofc based on past experience. But very few people bot with more than 40-50 bots to actually get useful data. It's like science, if you only have 1 test subject you cant really tell shit. Also the filters can be complex and not only follow some easy rule. You could have binary filters which uses two sets of data to return True/false. You could have filters that require 50 datasets to return true/false. Basically, if you can check wowhead under character statistics and can conclude with 100% certainty that this player is a bot - so can a filter. Damage done / day Nodes gathered / day Onlinetime /day Gold earned /day Gold deposited /day ... So what do I recommend? It completely depends on how much: money you want to spend (wod? just mop?) time you want to spend tinkering Gold you want to earn/day Computer setup you have And atm for large gold gains I really cannot recommend anything that dsnt take a ton of time to tinker with.
