your cpu will prolly bottleneck your gc to play it on ultra. also note, the bot makes it lag, a lot. fms will go down regardless of the setup.
Much better but price is ~x2 worse hehe https://www.cpubenchmark.net/compare.php?cmp[]=2234&cmp[]=2489&cmp[]=2230
i think anything under an i7 will keep being a bottleneck. thinking about buying a 2nd one of my old hd8650 and put em in together. although ive read a lot that wow doesnt support it fully and all that, im sure there is a performance gain for me to get. Still cheaper then buying a new one. But i think my quadcore at 3.4 ( amd ) will be an issue.
here is an link to an rig I recommend. this could run between the 15 and 20 clients on the same time brainbuddy - Saved Part Lists - PCPartPicker
This is so wrong. An i7 is way overkill. WoW can never use more than two cores anyway. All it cares about is IPC, which is exactly the same on i3, i5 and i7 - as well as most Xeons of same generation. Of course it will help to have more cores, if you set your Mask Affinity to max and have multiple bots running on the same PC.
you are right wow will never use more then 4 threads, but windows will manage this so if you have running 4 clients they will spread over all the threads. and i7 isn't really overkill because wow is using more cpu since a few patches and I got an i7 and I really wouldn't go to the 20 clients with an i5
