      Hi,

      I have not used GB/HB in a while now and downloaded the new version of GB however when I run it I get the following:

      "Gatherbuddy needs to install an extra component to work.... "

      the log files show the following:

      No public installers with the RunInstallerAttribute.Yes attribute could be found in the H:\gatherbuddy\Gatherbuddy.exe assembly.
      Committing assembly 'H:\gatherbuddy\Gatherbuddy.exe'.
      Affected parameters are:
      logtoconsole =
      assemblypath = H:\gatherbuddy\Gatherbuddy.exe
      logfile = H:\gatherbuddy\Gatherbuddy.InstallLog
      No public installers with the RunInstallerAttribute.Yes attribute could be found in the H:\gatherbuddy\Gatherbuddy.exe assembly.
      Remove InstallState file because there are no installers.

      Could someone point me in the right direction for why this is not working.

      Cheers

      Windows7 64bit

      I have seen this message before when i was doing c# work and it was related to something relating to environment variables or dot.net issues...

      but as I don't have the source (understandably) its hard to diagnose unless I just start reinstalling dot.net etc...

      edit: sorry to bump but what are the requirement packages for GB/HB? I presume dot.net 2.x/3.x maybe C runtimes or something?

      Thanks again Tony. I will try updating that when I get home tonight and let you know.

      FYI: This Didn't seem to fix the issue Tony. I have tried several versions of the dot.net updates and it still does not want to run.

      I have checked file permissions, tried running with AntiVirus disabled etc as well.

      What exactly is it trying to install? Is it possible to register the services etc manually?

      dylan, your workaround is inside of the gb folder and gb.exe is inside there?

      did you run the installer as admin (right click --> run as admin)

      The file i downloaded was just a zip, not installer. I stupidly didn't notice that 'workaround' file in downloads until you mentioned it...

      I will add that to the folder tonight and try again.

      Cheers
