I was advised that the most recent 6month bans were Garrison bot specific - at least in the Honorbuddy space. So I'm curious how many of you are still botting Garrisons and what precautions you take to feel "safe".

Your adviser was full of @#$( ..

The recent 6month bans where a specific ban on ALL HB users, I did not matter how you where botting, If they detected HB during there scan times (some users where lucky) you where banned.

Ok so assuming that Garrison bots weren't targeted specifically, short of quitting the bot game, how does one feel safe? How do YOU feel safe?

First rule of botting: if you want to "feel safe", or not get banned, DON'T bot. period.

Everyone that press the start button on a bot must know that he killed his account in that moment, because sooner or later your will get banned, but none can say when.

You don't feel safe. Using a not right now is more unsafe than its been in a while. If you don't feel safe it means you're using the bot on an account you care about which is a big no-no.
It doesn't matter what you're doing garrison, grinding, questing, combat routine. They can get you of they want.

A the moment, Blizzard is having a spaz attack on botters, and we are in there sights.. There has NEVER been a worse time for bots at the moment.. Just about every bot on the market.. either is detected or was detected..

Out of all of the bots on the market I belive HB is the team that cares about your account the most.. but its not going to cut it atm :( Blizzard really got shitty about the case the lost recently.. they are on a mission and I feel they don't even care about profits atm.. they just want to hurt bossland.

I dont see many people getting banned atm , at least here on hb. 3-4 reports per day thats nothing. Dont think hb is detected otherwise it would be much worse.

Collecting accounts for a wave is more effective. *tin foil hat*

Right , just dont makes much sense according to " ban wave " history , how long they take to do it ? Not 2 times in 1 month for sure.

I didn't actually get banned in the wave. I didn't bot since late March 2015 so what ever happened before the wave must have been after this date.

Same here, didn't get banned in the wave for not botting since late March 2015... I do agree that collecting accounts to Mass-ban them is the best way to deal with us, letting the false feeling of safety to be established among the botters is the most effective way to grab all of us.

Right now I am very inclined to bot again, I only used CRs for PvE, nothing else... But I don't think I am ever botting again on WoW, HB was my last hope of not being caught and it went down.

Think about what you just assumed for a minute. Ok nm that probably won't work, let me rephrase. Try to think about what you just assumed from a shareholder or ceo/upper management perspective.

The bannings are due to the wow token coming to be. Not some vendetta over butt hurt at court.

You are not safe. You will never be safe as long as you continue to bot. This is extremely sad as I ONLY used my bots to Garrison, lvl, and enyo in the groups.. never for PVP or Dungeon farm. I only took out the long boring monotonous aspects that I hate about the game. We all knew the risks when we purchased our licenses and we have to take our time out with some humility. I personally am dumbfounded at the amount of hate Bliz is getting from people that feel they "owe" us something or are "greedy" as this action only costs them money as that's 100k+ subscriptions they lost for 6mos. And I'm sorry they don't OWE us anything as they make the game and put a lot of time into developing it and we pay to use it, thus our payment satisfies the conditions of the contract. Speaking of the contract it is clearly stated that bots are in violation of the ToU Agreement. So we really don't have a leg to stand on. YES it does suck and I'm very disappointed we all got busted (yes I got banned too). BUT, we all knew what we were doing. Like smoking pot, we know it's illegal, most people don't agree with it and many weigh the risk and do it anyway. You can't bitch too much when you get busted cause you knew you were breaking the law. Personally I won't be using the HB anymore because I have too much NON-Botting time invested into my account to risk it. But it sucks because the game is going to get WAY more boring, ESPECIALLY the garrison maintenance. If they'd automate Garrisons, I could personally live without bots. I love Garrisons, but HATE having to go through the daily upkeep accross 10 toons

agreed. Bliz does not profit at all by bots not being allowed. so the greed argument is ignorant. It's about purity of the game and playing it the way they want. We decided to exploit it and therefore we knowingly violated the game. plain and simple. Besides that, too many people were not botting responsibly and abusing them, that's why this happened. Watch the videos on youtube where one or two people would be in groups made entirely of bots, you'll see why it happened and why it NEEDED to happen.

Your do relies wow tokens are still paid for ? its not blizzard is giving away game time for gold... End result some one is still paying for it..

The only valid reason I could see it, it to prevent inflation because there was too much gold around, and brought the wow tokes price down to much....

As it was before the wave, it was cheaper to buy gold with $US and buy tokens in game then it was to buy your subs.
