Hey guys, I started playing FF14 some weeks ago and I'm considering to buy this bot. Different than to other subforum for bots, I cant find the ban-section here to look up myself. Can you tell me how frequently squeenix bans bots? Thanks in advantage
There is no bans section as the ban rate is almost non existent. Less than 0.5%, in part due to the bot not doing obvious things that will lead to reports such as PvP and dungeons. Also there is no functionality for teleport hacking in a way similar to Minion so there is no chance of being picked up there either.
I can't speak to specifics, but it looks like the only real way to get banned is by getting caught by users and reported. Reporting in FFXIV is a drawn out process so typically, they would just flame you for botting, but since it's a pain to report people, most won't do anything about it. The Gil sellers get banned but only because they harass people. Most of the community won't do anything about you ... just be passive aggressive. Ditto about the ban section. We don't have one because it rarely happens. Here's a perfect example: I've been botting since almost the beginning, got every job up to 50 before the expansion through fate botting, semi-afk at work and sometimes while I'm sleeping. I've gathered all night and been called out a few times while sleeping because I was running into a wall for hours. I recently got a 3 days suspension ... for pushing a remote chat program ... not for ANYTHING botting related. TL;DR - Don't be obvious and don't be abusive and you'll probably be fine.
2 of my friends using this bot have levelled every single class and profession to max as well as 100 million gil combined and have never even been messaged from a GM or got a ban. Botting in this game is open season. Don't act stupid and you'll be able to bot unrestricted and unopposed.
I really need to find this interview but there was an interview with a square enix dev for the game and somebody brought up the fact that people use a script to craft. The script would start the craft then start a macro and wait a period of time for the craft to finish then rinse/repeat. The dev shrugged his shoulders and gave a "who cares, next question" response. In general they don't fuss about people using automation to grind some things out in this game. What they will deal with is player reports. They take them very seriously, even being called out myself and have people flame me in /shout because of a pair of vocal players who like to be the anti-bot zealots. These guys will sit and spam trade windows with anyone grinding/farming to see how they react. I never so much as got a GM message but I don't even know if they reported me. Since then I had asked for a plugin to watch for trade window and autoclose it. The only response I got in that thread was mastahg telling me it was unnecessary and to just use /busy. Funny thing is he later added that into the bot as a feature with one of his ninja updates. (go to botbase settings and see: "auto close trade window" "blacklist players who trade me") SE will also hound you if you start exploiting and doing things that a player cannot do. Like teleporting around or clearing a dungeon without killing a single trash pack. Appearing out of thin air in the exact middle of a node, taking a few swipes then teleporting away. (this bot does not do these things) I've seen two ban reports in the 6 months I've been using this product. One was somebody who was mentioning his friends getting their accounts banned. (one used rebornbuddy only and the other used this and its competitor). They were in the same GC and shared gil/mats etc. It was likely a blanket ban for everything tied to the investigation. The other ban wasn't entirely a ban but one of our members was given a suspension about a month ago on one of his alternate accounts. This account farmed shards/crystals 24/7. Most likely a player report.
Fate bot has to be like 00.01% seeing as me and like 10 others leave it on 24/7 for multiple accounts and nothing ever happens
I run it all the time and have not had a problem with banning or anything. I can't believe how many other people are using this on my server as well, I know this because the other people's characters are behaving in the same exact manor as. They all run in a group together because they are on the same path, lol. The only thing you need to worry about is if you are in an FC and someone tries to talk to you, than it is pretty obvious.
Made me a buttload of money so far and only been /telled once, I happen to be there and told them immediately "You better watch who you call a bot!" Now we just respect each other's space. lol. Materia making/converting.
