https://www.youtube.com/watch?t=57&v=zlYDu_nXT30 This was just posted on the FFXIV facebook page. Really obvious botting on midgar , lol.
Thats why you should always bot smart. Spend at least an hour or so watching your bot to see if there are any obvious tells, such as that one. I would assume most smart people would blacklist DD parts 1 2 and 3, thus only getting there for the final, most profitable (in terms of XP) part.
Those options are already in place on fate bot. You can go to a specified location when fate ends or do nothing and sit there looking pretty. Something I would like to add in regards to this for profiles. If you download a profile made public off these forums. There is a very strong suggestion to change the hotspots just a little. That way you don't end up synchronized walking to the exact same spot while gathering or whatever it may be.
What I specifically said though was when moving between fates, these profiles insta (wish that maybe had a random delay between 0-30 secs or something) mount and pretty much ride conga line to the next fate, if moving the hotspots a little fixes that, then thank you very much I'll look into doing that, guess I missed that, or never read the post that suggested it, I have mine doing nothing after a fate to not be in the group of bots beelining for town/out of town. =)
Changing hotspots won't fix that. You could change the start % requirements before traveling to it to try and delay you mounting as quickly as the other bots. The risk of that is depending on how fast the fate is completed is you may not receive full exp/reward credit.
The problem isn't going to a Fate, I'm still talking about "Between fates".. The delay you can set in the fate bot only applies to boss fates, so that's only half a solution as well. I realize "Between fates" is a broad term.. What I mean is moving between two ongoing fates, one ends, and the bot wants to move straight to another. insta mounting with all the other bots, and then conga lining all the way there like good little minions. it's highly noticable
I understand what you're saying. Especially that other 3 part fate in N Than with the eye monsters, the bot sort of stop and then moves rapidly along with all the other obvious botters to the location, while the real faters are already way ahead of us. It's insanely obvious. Especially when everyone has their stuff set to /obvious. Gilgamesh might be stupid though seeing how no one says anything.
Again.. it's not just connected fates.. it's moving between fates.. I'm really not sure how I can fail to explain myself over this many posts.. Either that, or the people answering has never had another botter in the same area as you, because if you have, then it's painfully obvious
I get what you are saying but there is no way to set a delay. The option I was sugguesting was changed the % of completion required to move to a new fate deeper in so that you would delay when you mount up and run over to the new fate until that point is met. (This would do what you desire in a halfass roundabout way) If the fate is already past that point of completion then you will run there. If you are really ambitious you could pick up support for the patrol and/or destiny plugins and add an option for how long you want to delay between fates to move on to the next. Or write a fresh plugin that does just that.
Please do not pick up support for an existing plugin without getting permission from the original author first.
I know that Wheredidigo is actively developing a new improved version of Destiny for a future release, just not through the forums; he definitely did not quit RebornBuddy. In fact, he has made posts on the Community Developer forum recently. Anyone who wants to take over his code should PM him first to get permission, and respect his wishes otherwise. I do not know about the original author of the Patrol plugin; however, I would still try to message him before taking his code.
What's the most hilarious about it is it's old content. Oh yeah, and also, Square still won't do anything about it. They want those subs too much.
I've seen an influx of blatant botters on my server since that HB banwave. I live in a different timezone then the server I'm playing so I get on late at night on there time so its usually dead. Literally a week after, 10-20 CCH fate botters/gathering botters/etc...etc... at 12-4AM there time. This was about a month before HW dropped so the server was dead from people burning out/waiting for HW.
