"Hi there, I recently used Honorbuddy to level a DK 55-60 and then level 90 boosted him with my WoD purchase boost. Obviously I wasn't banned.

However, I have immediately uninstalled honorbuddy after seeing so many ban reports and banwave talk. However I wonder considering how many of these guys have alternative accounts why they are bothering to use bots, surely if they have that sort of money they might as well just buy gold? Because it's not like they are farming for account bound mounts on multiple accounts or anything like that - so it's clearly gold, and it sounds like money for them is not an issue if paying so many WoW subscriptions.

Anyway! - Is Honorbuddy safe to use for questing these days? I'll not bother using it to farm, I won't even use it for PvP anymore. But will questing be okay or am I going to get caught? I used HB along with Pirox back in the day (2011) to level about 5 characters to level 85 and I did once get a perma-ban for obviously PvP botting which was later reduced to a 72 hour ban as I told the gm I fell asleep on my keyboard and was playing in my sleep which was why I didn't respond to his whisper. He thought it was too funny and unbanned me.

That was 4 years ago, my account still stands today but I just want to use it for my Garrison shit.

TL;DR - Lot's of people getting banned. Is it safe to use HB for questing? I would like to say I was very good at organizing my bots before but I got greedy that one time which led to a 72h-ban, I continued botting long after this and never got banned, all the way to 2013 after the 2011 ban.

I'm not using it to farm gold, just to level characters with questing. Will never run the bot longer than 2.5 hour periods."

      This IS a support issue.

I've purchased a product from you with a 3600 day key. I am now wondering if what I have purchased is safe to use.

If that doesn't not qualify as support I don't know what does.

Don't try to run from your own product. I'll take that as a; "No it's not safe to use" then?

"Tony - Not A Support Issue. Closed"

Great *Support* from Honorbuddy staff here.

Where else would you have liked this posted then?

I am angry that instead of suggesting where to post it you simply closed it and didn't speak a word to the question.

Considering the money you have made off of your product you do not provide any support to your customers.

What, you've got my money now you won't help because you know you won't be making any more off me?

Opening a closed thread because you're unhappy with whatever answer you received is a quick way to get banned on these forums. You should really check the rules before losing your temper.

Botting is as "safe" as its always been, you roll the dice every time you start the bot up.

And don't presume you know anything about the reasons people bot.

Why is getting banned from a support forum where the "Super Moderator" was completely unhelpful going to be a problem?

He blatantly ignored my question, he didn't have to be rude about it. There is NO OTHER thread here that we are allowed to ask that question in, now - is that not awfully convenient?

And no it's not "As safe as it's ever been". If it were you wouldn't have so many people (more than I've ever seen for this bot) complaining about being banned, christ people very rarely had this issue with Pirox until they got shut down. Now Honorbuddy is on it's way out, the staff know it and are trying to tip toe around it as much as possible?

Both consumer and staff know how precarious the botting world is but they should have just answered it in that way instead of ignoring the question, which simply can be interpreted as a "No it's not safe anymore".

Well then...Why did you ask if you already knew the answer?

There's just as many bans going on now as there was before the banwave happened. Which means the bot is exactly as safe as it was before.

Oh well, this thread will be closed soon and you'll be lucky if you still have an account when it does get closed.

No it's not safe anymore. It never was. Now just leave. If you're this worried about losing your account, you shouldn't have ever been botting in the first place.

It is never safe. Once you hit start and HB attaches, that account is forever dead. It can be banned at any time from that point on.

No it is not a support issue as while purchasing HB it says all over the website (from what I recall) that it is against the ToS of Blizzard and can get you banned. No guarantees outside of the bot runs and has continued support on it. You get banned? Tony will apologize. Will he get you unbanned? No. Will he refund you? No. Does he need to? No. He broke no laws selling this product. He never said you will not get banned.

Sorry but it has been beaten to death already in multiple posts, so likely they closed it as it has been answered and there is no need to discuss it.

its never safe. and asking if it is or not is not a support issue. if the bot was 100% detected it wouldn't be running. so if you can use it, its up to you to weigh the risks for you and what you plan to do.
