Hey Guys, I was just wondering if there is any way for us as botters to find out what the ban ratio is.. I had my main account banned on the 13 may banwave, and would like to get my new chars on my new account. Yes, I would not like to get the new account banned, so I have not taken the chance yet to switch on HB. I do know that the risk is high.. but how high is what I want to know. What do you guys suggest? How many of you have successfully leveled up chars without detection? Regards
Well I for one had my fair experience and not got banned yet. After the big (and minor hotfix) update where HB had a long downtime, I changed to a different, more unstable bot which I used for about a week (mainly just a combat bot which automated my routine, did my apexis dailies with, a raid and some dungeons) and have not gotten banned yet. Now since yesterday I use HB again, wrote a profile yesterday and had it run overnight. Rewrote my profile today and had it run now for about three hours. Nothing happened yet.
They could detect us long before the banwave happened. I don't know why people think that security changes after a banwave, it doesn't. Blizzard detected us multiple times and then banned all the accounts at once. And no, you'll never know what the ban ratio is. The HB team will never tell you, nor will Blizzard. If you bot, expect to be banned. It may not be today or tomorrow, but you will get banned. I myself have leveled 16 characters to level 100 now since the banwave. 11 alliance, 5 horde. All 16 leveled, at a bare minimum, from 90-100 using Kick's profiles. I also have a team of 5 90's doing heroics for gold as well. Each of my dungeon farming accounts has 5 other level 90's on it. That's a total of 41 characters leveled to at least level 90 since the bot has been back up. I bot 20-24 hours a day. I've had zero bans since the banwave. Do I suggest you do this? Absolutely not. If you care at all about your accounts, don't do this.
