[BETA] ArchaeologyBuddy - An Archaeology Bot (with flying)

If you read what I said you'll see that it doesn't ignore dig sites. It just does them in a VERY strict linear order. If you completely exit out of HB (not just stop it, but quit out of it) and then reload it, it will always start digging at the site you're closest to.

 

Someone posted a blank profile early on in the thread. Use that.

ok so i got 1 bug to report its the end of this log it could not get to the spot it wanted due to a wall and then i manuly did it and it buged out and kept trying to dig even tho the site was gone

 

its not moving or anything for me worked for a little bit this morning now it just mounts and sits there.

Possible to download all the meshes at once from a 3rd party website (like mediafire)?

So far, its getting stuck at some places, like dig sites in Stonetalon Mountains, Desolace, and Southern Barrens. It just stands there after surveying... Doesn't move or anything (Navigator Log doesn't show anything being downloaded, Debug Log shows last casted spell (survey tool)).

 

no there is not i think this is due to the constent updating tho it would be nice to have

 

error When i start the bot this error comes straight away and never goes away. The character is an 85 shaman and is flying in mid air nothing blocking its way.

I'm more of a patient "watch and wait' type of person. Just sticking my head in to say I am glad there is some development on this. The hours I spent on getting that Vial of the Sands only to dig up countless junk shit will now be diminished with Archeology Buddy. I'll be downloading this once I see some more bugs are worked out.

its working grate already ran it for almost 2 hours with like 2 small problems thats sick

 

Yeah moved it all over the place just mounts up says "downloading mesh and doesnt move"

 

lol haveing the opposite problem. mine doesn't want to mount unless its a ground when its a flyer it say's its mounting nothing happens and then jumps other then that it's doing pretty damn good. thxs for the bot!!!

Great to see that it actually is possible to get an archeology bot!

All the current flaws are natural for something in development and will get sorted out soon. Only thing I'm a bit worried right now is the CPU usage, my PC gets into huge trouble once the toon gets stuck and he downloads mesh for hours - and it definately isn't a slow machine.

 

Here is a spot that had a problem it seemed

I was running, and came back to see him having done 2 finds at a location in Silithus and stuck on the last one. He was standing next to some ruins, looking into the corner of the wall at

Said he was in combat according to HB but didnt see anything.

I manually moved him to do that last find and he started back up after that. Hopefully that information is helpful.

If you need log from there let me know, looking at it, it appears he did fight something but stopped and just stood in that spot for about 6 minutes until I came back in and manually moved him.

Edit, After looking at it and seeing it do this again, while I was watching, I think the issue is with it getting stuck thinking the character is in combat but isnt, not sure if CC related, but it happened again, and I notice when it is hung you cant mount even cause you just get Stop and Dismounted which I think is the CC doing so cause it thinks I am in combat. (Using SimpleDK)

 

Can anyone help me try to figure out why it won't mount up?
I have all the necessary boxes checked/unchecked and I tired my golden gryphon and my flying machine they both don't work.

 

Update couldn't get it to work in Kalimador, so moved to the untested area of out lands. Works freaking fantasti there. Cant figure out why it wouldnt move in kalimador though.

 

I decided to try it out, went to all the digsites without issues. There was only two occasions where it would keep prospecting in the same place and wouldn't move even though the thing was green and pointing in a different direction. Also came across the blackrock mountain flying issue. Other than that, very damn impressive for the short time I used it. Was shocked how well this is actually working. <3 Raphus

 

Working perfectly for me straight off. I cannot even word how much thanks I give to you for writing this.

 

Combat is one of HB's states. Basically you're either in Combat or your are Resting (I think there might be one or two more, but those are the main ones).

So when it is working correctly it'll still say that it is in Combat.
