Hello everyone, I want to create a mass botting pc that can handle 30 accounts at the same time, but will it be cleaver to buy an overpowered pc to run all 30 in 1 pc or should I divide it to 2 pcs? Also I would appriciate if you guys tell what will i need if i build it in 1 pc (ram, graphics cards etc etc) thank you
I would make 2 PCs with Xeon 1230v3 and 16GB Ram each. Every PC can handle ~15 WoW + Bots. As GPU you can take something cheap (i use a old GTX 460). Then reduce all Windows Settings (disable Aero etc.) and then everything should work fine ;-)
It's not the core of your pc that you have to worry about, it's the graphic cards (gpu). Your computer will be severely taxed unless the bot makers find a way to allow minimization of your client. even shrinking it down to smallest will not work. I found that 5 running on my comp has been running at 150*F but I can hear my SSD saying Eff you. And my graphic card is whining like a 2 dolla ho.
So rather making a balsy retort, how about lending constructive information instead of saying someone is an idiot indirectly. I'd rather be an idiot than a hostile. (although until Im disputed with viable information that I can rely on, sit down, stay in your corner until you have something productive to say)
Actually, it's one of the top. Because when i upgraded to the titans, i noticed a significant increase in playable clients when i have 3-5. Pre-titans. Laggy, warping, sometims client crashes. Don't tell me gpu doesn't matter. IT DOES. The ONLY reason i dropped this kind of dough for these Graphic Card Because I am developing a MOBA and need the processing ability to handle next gen UnrealEngine 4 rendering.
Your doing something seriously wrong if all you can do is 5 bots before the GPU becomes a bottleneck. Lower the resolutions in game, cap FPS to 30 and put all settings to low and you can shove many on even a low end GPU... A CPU is more important for botting because: A) WoW is more CPU demanding than GPU B) The bot needs CPU resources as well c) Graphical settings, frame rate etc would be lowered as much as possible so CPU would become the problem before GPU. Plus, I'd be crying if I could only run 5 WoWs on a Titan Z and thinking of all that money I wasted for no good reason.
Your doing a huge mistake with 1 pc. Go multiple PCs and just bot 5 chars on each. You can get such a botting pc for €150-220
CPU (Hertz > Cores) => RAM -> GPU this is the Prio Order for WoW + HB On my Xeon 1230v1 with 16 GB Ram and a GTX 460 i can run ~15 WoW + HBs. Disable all Visual Effects in Windows and set WoW Graphic Details to minimum and set the FPS to 20-30.
Its almost the same: http://cpuboss.com/cpus/Intel-Xeon-E3-1230-v3-vs-Intel-Core-i7-4770K Only differents: Xeon is cheaprer but has no integrated GPU and is not overclockable (except if you have a specific old MainBoard with which you can fix the Turbo at all Cores)
made me laugh my ass off. wow cpu depending. it cant even handle more then 3-4 cores properly, if it allready uses them! That has been a problem forever. This engine is so outdated its not even worth upgrading and will cost blizz a fortune. So why do it. No one knows or cares right? he needs both, gpu and cpu. Balance your system. Saying his gpu is the last thing to worry about is bs. If you just watch usage across CPUs you can see that WoW is still largely a single threaded application. now for hb, thats deffo cpu depending. Sometimes amazes me how much it can ask from a machine. Funny how ya'll give advise but using google is worth 10x more.
and what's so funny if I may ask? As i say Hertz OVER Cores: It is better to use 4x4,7Ghz instead of 8x3Ghz. And sorry you dont need a Good GPU. With a very very old GTX 460 i can run up to 15 WoW + HB. I think i can run more but my Xeon 1230v2 and my 16 GB Ram are at 95% last then. P.S. Please let us know which CPU and GPU and how man Ram you have an how man WoW + Bots you can run (not only Start).
I have the Xeon 1230v1 and v2 which are for the old 1155 Sockel. When you build now a new computer you have to buy the v3 which is for the new/current Sockel 1150. //Edit: Ok here some Infos from my Xeon 1230v2, 16 GB Ram, GTX 460 Setup: Windows + 5 WoW + HBs (running with Questing): GPU usage: 12-15% CPU usage: 24-30% Ram usage: 7,1GB Ram As you can see i can run ~15 WoW + HBs befor my CPU reach the 100%. And then the GPU will only use 36-45%. And you say GPU is Important? *lol* And that all with a GTX 460 from 2010: http://geizhals.de/gainward-geforce-gtx-460-golden-sample-1190-a548292.html
Cheap botting pc High end AMD processor. AMD FX8350 will work for 15 bots(Dungeon buddy) probably will fit 25+ gatherbuddys I don't use so not sure 4gb ram stable, 1gb per wow+hb Cheap gpu Asus GTX 740 should be fine for 15 bots cap the framerate on 10fps or nearby Cheapest hdd available just make sure it's 100gb+ Psu depending on your gpu u select and processor, long term invest in a good one to save electricity, work the saving and how long it takes to make the extra cost worth it such a 6 months, 1 year etc standard cheap ATX case that will fit components such as gpu Invest in a decent one with fans or nice airflow if you don't want your room which the pc is in too warm Standard motherboard that fits all the components and fits in case, I used Asus m5a97 and it was fine Wouldn't advise running more than 15 bots on a pc as the price for components required rises substantially. Don't listen to all these idiots saying spend a lot on a graphics card. IT IS NOT NEEDED or required unless you want to watch your bots in super high definition running at 100fps
