      Good points,
But everyone, do-not-forget the ComDevs, agreed to sell their products on the BuddyStore with their own will, AFTER legally accepted to support their products up to 18months or till next WoW Expansion.

On-the-fly changes to Buddy Store like changing the share from 70% to 60% or no matter what else, cannot legally unbind their obligation with their current customers to support their product, unless they refund them with the money the ComDevs have already taken. Correct me, if I am wrong, but that is how the modern law in most countries work.

Again, we are not talking about contract between Bossland and any random ComDev, but the contract between the ComDev and the Customer!

If anyone object and think, as lawyer geek that no such contract is signed - it does not need to be - the sole act of the ComDev, receiving the Customer's money legally binds this contract.

That's all fine and dandy, Aion, and yes, it protects the HB team, but what does that do to help the HB team customers? It does nothing.

The people that are losing out here are the customers, not HB. Bossland already has his money, we just don't have our products.

This isn't the same situation as losing arena's. Even after arena's were lost, we still had CR's that could function in BG's. We now have products that are broken and won't be fixed, and products that are just gone all together.

The people that lose out because of this is the customers.

That is problem, because Devs thinks that they are one who losing most, but they already received money for product with 70-30 profit share. For that money they had to support product for 18m not for potential money from future sales. They could stop selling it if they think that new profit sharing is bad, but not stop completely support it.

I know that when dev decided to stop supporting it, never will force him to do it again (ofc that he will support fatal bugs, but nothing more).

My idea is, that abandoned product, which dev don't longer support should be released as source code to community. We have plenty skilled programmers here that don't have time to create new product, but they are able to maintain one.

That's not how the legal world works. The devs still own the code, unless the contract specifically says they lose their code if they don't uphold their end of the contract.

Don´t worry, I know that but as you said - that could be specified in contract.

I wouldn't say that....... there are a couple good devs I'm happy to support. Millz, Gladiator suite crew, vitalic (but he's not buddystore), phelons stuff has been good but don't know where he's gone.

Like I said i've no complaints about purchasing things when they're worth the money / supported.

Yes, I have Millz Demonic CR and other products that are good, but some are just black sheeps.

And Vitalic is whole another level. His CR is insane and he deserve every penny that I paid him. I would paid him even more If he asked for more.

This. I have spent quite a substantial amount of money on products at the store (notably Gatherit's and Reviir's expensive packages) and their quality and results are way far than the expectations they mention. On the other hand, tried Tuanha's CRs long ago and after one month I bought the whole package, never stopped using them since them. Lesson learned: not buying anything if there isn't a free version I can test first (and no, a 48h trial is not a test).

All this money thrown away could've been saved if there was some feedback system, like in any regular digital store like Amazon, Google Play or Apple Store.

So does HB plan on reimbursing everyone who bought these profiles?

jesus... I didn't realize it got so bad. I am thinking about another vacation from Wow again already.

this business model was not good for holding people accountable and promoting continuity of updates.

Should have been a very small subscription model or something to promote the developers not taking the money and running after its spent.

HB should have only released proceeds to the developers in 1 month intervals at an 18 month "dividend"

there are so many reasons HB business model works for them and wouldn't for this fractured community of devs from all over the world in a 100 different legal jurisdictions.

YourRaidingBuddy V2 will still be supported, but you won't be able to buy it. I can't push updates right now due to the store compiler not working with WPF (Overlay), but I will push updates once this has been resolved.

All of the OmationCreations Products are still supported.
Products generally gets updated only if it's needed (bugged, changes needed, adding features, etc).

Last time I tried Ultimate Farming by Inrego (both of them). They simply did not work. I posted about it on his website but it was not responded to, this was a ~month before the banwave.

Inrego sent this email just a couple days ago about the status of his website and plugins as a whole:

"I am sorry to announce the closure of ... After the buddy store opened, the number of visits to ... has dropped drastically (to nearly none). It is just not viable to keep a 3rd party website like this running anymore.

I have not had any revenue on the website since the opening of buddy store, so I have been paying for keeping the website up out of my own pocket, and I didn't mind since the revenue from buddy store could cover it. But that is no longer the case. Ever since the banwave, sales dropped a lot there aswell, and just before that - the buddy team introduced new terms to developers that I cannot accept. Because of these circumstances, there is no longer any upkeep (or reason) for me in ... or developing buddy products.

If you have purchased any products here on ..., I suggest you contact the developer of the product to figure out how to move on."

It's pretty obvious he's done with the WoW scene.

Well thats a bit of a lie is it not?

There was a new contract, and you cannot legally bind a person to a change of contract, thus by not agreeing to signing the new and changed contract(and there was a new contract) they can freely stop supporting their products without being in breach of contract.

So essentially, this customer issue was actually caused by buddyteam, and no one else.
