Ok, headsup for badnodes, you cannot have the commas between the co-ordinates, I know it is totally stupid to output the co-ords from the my location button with commas inside of GB, hopefully this get fixed soon. Until then remove them all and everything should work fine. We also just need a badnodes parser, one that you can throw any badnodes into, it will diff it against a list you have, add new nodes skip old node, create new list, none of this hand stuff. G
@ keleshia tyvm Added one with commas for people in EU. If someone can use test let me know if works. Would be awesome! Give me more badnodes to use if can. Making the one complete awesome full cata badnodes list.
OT; Im very new to GB but, what is Badnodes? Im herbing atm so is it important to have it? Where do i put them and use them? Thanks in advance.
@evelyn Badnodes is an xml file in your GB folder. It tells GB to skip that node. Say for example a herb is real close to edge of cliff. And when you herb it you fall to death every time. Add that herb to badnodes. It will skip it next time. Or an herb is surrounded by tons of mobs. Instant death when try to herb it. Just add to badnodes. Also GB will auto add badnodes on its own. If the node is hidden by a tree and GB cant figure out how to maneuver around it. It will auto badnode it after 2 tries. So yes badnodes are very good to have. Depending on what profile you use try to grab the badnodes from that profile. If you are handy with nodepad look at them. Copy paste them into your own badnodes. Or just use it in place of yours. But keep in mind not all people that make profiles may post working badnodes. They might of just thrown one up fast to have one and not test it. So good to look at your debug file once in awhile to make sure they are all going in good. Hope answered all questions there. And didnt make it more confusing.
From what i understand badNode.xml is a file in gatherbuddy folder where all the locations of all herbs/mines ect that are bad (bad = cannot mine/herb node/ run into elites or generally do not go to that possition because you die alot) So you browse the gatherbuddy forum for a xml you like you download & load the xml up in gatherbuddy you download badNode.xml copy the contents and paste it into the badNode.xml in the gatherbuddy folder
I think I had the comma one in wrong. Was re-looking at the other badnodes. So if can re-try the comma one pls let me know if works. someone ,,, anyone
@in2fun -- Hey chief, I opened up this badnodes list and found that it's only covering the nodes for Cataclysm. I'm trying to get my miner up to par so that I can mine, as well as skin, in Cataclysm. Currently I'm at 525 skinning and 124 mining. I have to mine in Azeroth areas to get up to Cataclysm mining, but I've noticed that there are no badnodes areas in the list for the old Azeroth areas as there were before the Cataclysm releases of GB. Should I be worried about this, or can you add the old areas' badnodes as a separate list, or include them all in this file? Sorry, I may be a little lost, and if there's nothing to worry about when it comes to mining in the old world areas then just let me know.
@zeldrak to be honest I haven't herbed/mined any of azeroth since cata. Makin so much on new ore haven't done anything else. Hehe I have thought of making seperate badnodes for each major section tho. Almost posted oulands one but it has errors. So need to fix or rewrite it. Give me a zone want badnodes for and I can see what can do. And if anyone else wants this let me know. I'm more inclined to do it if think people want it.
Works The one with commas works perfectly, except 1 error on a small thorium vein which i couldnt what was wrong. I dont give shit about small thorium veins, really. Thanks
The small thorium is most likely in crater, zone above uldum. When riding ridge you will detect nodes on other side and bot goes ground humping till finds it. So I prefer to not get a mix of thorium mixed in. Why most to all are badnoded for the profile I run. And thanks for trying and posting. I have gathered in azeroth now and can post a badnodes for that. All basically bot added not manually added. Didn't see any OMG badnode that! spots.
For some reason the bot still ignores the main blackspot that I want to avoid =s. In uldum, near the river there's a whiptail node that's being guarded by 4-5 Neferset guards and the bot keeps going there. My blood dk doesn't have any problem handling them all so I didn't really bother much at first but my level 82 shaman could only survive 5 seconds against them. Anyone knows what's possibly I'm doing wrong/forgetting? I'm using both your coordinates and mine if that helps at all.
Either use ur 85 DK, go in clear mobs. Stand directly on the herb. Then hit "blacklist" on GB. Or when GB goes towards the node, hit stop. Copy paste the last node going for in log on the GB itself. Then post here. I can add or show you how to add. I haven't bothered to update in while since all new nodes added on my end due to manuver problems. So nothing major. I have herbed/mined all new zones hmm few times. Lol! Will upload when get home. Also if anyone can answer. Does EU still need the comma , or is that all same now? Sent from my DROID2 using Tapatalk
Updated with the latest badnodes that I use for all cata zones. Use if want Most of us have been gathering long enough prolly dont need. But anyone just starting in cata would help I'm assuming. Let me know if need anything else added or what not.
