So just got a 72 hr ban last night after running bgbuddy for maybe 2.5 hours. Find it funny the amount of bans coming from BGbuddy, the real irony is that this bot is called honor buddy xD. Cant really farm honor anymore. Fair warning to anyone purchasing, dont use it for bgs. Not worth it.

You mean running in the exact same circles as 1000s of other bots in a player filled environment is unsafe?
      Damn.

I'm not going to lie though, he has a point. A bg bot is one of the central tenants of a WoW bot; yet BGbuddy has been ultra high risk for years and honorbuddy have done nothing at all to help this.

when 80% of the players are bots it's hard not to see the patterns that form, BGBuddy was fine before Piroxbots got shutdown :) but it's been noticeable since then.

The pathing system is also to blame as it's restricted to tiles, unlike waypoint systems where you can choose an exact route which looks less bottish because you aren't with the crowd.

All that can be said is either avoid Battlegrounds or use Combat Bot with manual movement, you also said you were playing last night and that's the worst time to play as people leave their bots on overnight.

Its quite easy to fix. Simply use different profiles.

Common sense, some people lack it :p
I've never botted in PVP (besides combat routine). Why? Because I am one of those players that has WoW Armory open on my second monitor, and if I get raped by someone, I look them up to see their gear. (because they are usually high ranked pvpers). But if I get raped by a nub in green/blue gear, yeah something is up.

If you bot smart, you will not get banned.

bg buddy is way to obvious, and yeah, many use it. That might be one
of the problems and gives it away even more. Wouldnt be a problem to
give the bot 1-5 logic paths to randomly chose from every ress or start
no? Randomize the spots you stand at start as well. Cause it gives it
away 90 % of the time allr.

We first had bg buddy that ran bot trains, we all remember that one. Then
that one time the logic changed, it became even worse. Now you pop out of
stealth or move in solo over the map, move in range of one and BOOM 11 on
you, instantly, raping you. Ccing you like a multi glad player and litterally destroying
      you in greens and blues.

Everyone knows something is up then.

Then people think, wow, lets be smart. Lets buy Millz Bg farmer. But still this is a bg buddy
with bells and whistles. In the end, it does the same thing, moves the same obvious way
and gets you the same damn result. ( all respect to millz cause he rocks, for years ).

If you check the ban reports, its all bg buddy and bg farmer.

If some of you still cant get the message now, then u never will.

Dont bot in bg. Easy as that, if you value your account. Cause that hammer
      will hit you!

I guess his point was that BGbuddy was not properly developped over the time to avoid this kind of issues.

To be honest... at night from 30 Players in the BG you have 20-25 Bots. Now Blizzard have invested more money in a decent algorithm for BG`s... Finally.

Its not the Honorbuddy that you get banned in 2.5 hours, its you. Don`t use casual Profiles in BG - Allways create custom onces!

There was a time where Honorbuddy wasn't as famous as it is now. Back in these days, nobody thought you'd ever see 25 bots in a single bg.

Problem is the amount of users. As every bgbuddy user has the same bot, with the same logic, you get a pattern. The bots would have to communicate with each other but the effort for this client<->server infrastructure is ridiculous high, beside the fact that you might get problems with lags due to network latency.

In the past getting bots to run was way more difficult than today, where you're ready to go withing 5 minutes. You had to use your own "cc" or even before, setup macros or keybind certain keys that've been pressed every 1,2,5,10 seconds.
Some classes weren't even usable in bgs as they totally failed arround and you could instantly see that something is really really wrong. Total amount of bot users in bgs was definitely lower.

I remember a lot of situations in av, where we really rushed through with every single member. Go and try that today.
