Just wondering because of flight form being instant cast + being able to gather while in flight form meaning you can avoid getting into a fight... or would a pally/dk 20% speed bonus be better than this?
Totally agree. Herbing with flight form is heaven! Balance/feral macro's are hell though, so if you DO get into combat and aren't geared/leveled... Run. The bot should have the option that when you get in combat and you're still in flight form, it just flies up till you leave combat. That'd help.
Plus if you happen to have a tauren druid, the decreased herbing time makes it an excellent choice for a gathering bot.
to be honest with you, between my tauren pally and my tauren druid, my pally seems to gather more herbs per session. so i would go with a tauren pally as the best to gather with. make sure he is protection spec, and he never dies.
Usually takes 2 seconds but with the Tauren racial it's down to 0.5 seconds. pretty insane to be honest.
i love my tauren druid as a gathererer.. but like someone already said, it would be awesome if the bot would recognize that he's still in flight form if he gets in combat and just flies away.. esp with the .5 sec herb gather, 99 times out of 100 a tauren druid can gather the herb and fly away before anything actually hits me....
Comparing my druid and paladin (the other classes just suck ) I can say this: The druis is good because it herbs fast and saves a lot of time with herbs and such, but it seems to me that a Paladin saves a lot of time as he kills a mob three times faster as druid without even lossing that much live and so I think a Paladin is better than a druid.
