[BETA] ArchaeologyBuddy - An Archaeology Bot (with flying)

Wow face-palm for me not even realizing there was a new version out....

 

Looks great =) Only problem I found so far is that it does not defend itself when calculating new paths / downloading mesh so you'll usually die in Uldum or other places due to that.

 

This is more of a core HB thing then anything with the Bot. When it's calculating the messhes/path it has handed itself over to the HB process to handle all of that. The bot isn't back in control until you see the "Path is generated. (Took X seconds)" line.

Luckily, this is a passing issue. As you download more and more meshes the time it takes to calculate these flights goes from upwards of 180+ seconds to as fast as 2 seconds.

I recommend babysitting it until you've watched it gone from one end of the continent to another at least once or twice. Once it's done that it'll have a majority of the meshes and the remaining processing time will be short.

I'm new to this and am running a 85 holy priest and I find that he is having trouble buffing himself and tends to stop in flight. He tries to buff repeatedly in air and just stays there til buffed. I have to manually land him so he'll buff inner fire and continue on.

 

This has been a problem with HB core since it was released. I've told them about it on numerous occasions..

 

This is a problem with your CC. Try a different one that can understand that you're on a mount and wont try to buff.

 

Mine doesnt seem to use flying mount just random mount? why is that ?

Under your general settings make sure you have "Use Random Mount" false (unchecked). Then make use mount true (checked) and set what mount you want it to use.

Latest version is working really well for me in EK ( dare I say perfectly - I haven't had a single stuck problem in 4-5 hours). However in the past 24 hours I've had atleast 3 or 4 server authentication dropouts where I'm guessing the buddy servers are dropping out, starts working after a little while and a restart.

Has anyone got anyway to deal with this while afk at work - it stops and then sits there till it logs out ?

Or is this perhaps a temporary issue from server side?

this new version is working flawlessly for me. afk'able. only suggestion i have at this point is the dig site prioritization thing i was mentioning earlier. i.e. ignore fossil/troll sites unless there are no others available.. always go to tol'vir/dwarf/night elf if available etc. great job

 

Why wont the damn troll wep appear for me!

 

Have you figured out anything about our shared bug? I've noticed that dig sites with a path running through them work fine, but zones off the path a ways will cause the bot to bug out.

 

Really needs a way to blacklist twilight highlands. The bot drops itself in the middle of a group of 5 guys and then pulls a patrol, and tries again and again and again and again. It resses, dies, resses, dies. If I'd afk this I'd be losing about 10k a day only to repair costs.

 

yes this is the problem for you. It only works with flying mounts if you are a lifetime user.

 

No i have still not gotten is support of this problem that we are having. I keep hoping i will figure it out but i cant see anything in my log that shows a problem. Can you post you log so i can see if your looks like mine?
