So to start off, I've been playing in the talisman league and with a couple of good RNG here and there I was able to a mass about 60 exalts from crafting-mapping-trading. Currently, I'm running magic maps and I have chests and rares disabled. My character clears maps pretty efficiently - I think. Average time per map is about 4:34 minutes. Do you think it's worth the hassle to have the bot open chests - boulders - ect? Will I notice a difference in currency and unique drops? using tornado shot build
bot default settings has most of chests and some other destructibles ENABLED. i thought its useful to prevent stucks, but i guess this is obsolete when i see this nice stats. i don't think there's much currency within opening chests... which build and movement skill you use? bladefall/shockwave totem/icecrash/...?
You have some really good clear times. I am averaging 7-8 min per map and thats whirling blading for movement nonstop and literally 1 shotting everything including bosses (94k tooltip damage with Bladefall which clears entire areas). The biggest drawback to my clear times is just how the bot navigates. Running from far east to west (or north to south) sides of huge maps just to explore tiny unexplored areas, especially after killing the boss is just grueling to watch. Since my bot just runs on the second monitor while i do other things, i very very often manually end the runs and start new ones. I really need to look into what is triggering new runs for myself and make some adjustments. I know Exvault was against adding these features ... i believe because people would have map pool problems, but i have never come remotely close to running out of maps, especially after GGG increased the drop rates. But i digress. I believe what you are currently doing will be more profitable in the long run. You are also gaining nearly double the xp of what most people are capable of. If thats really the only thing you have adjusted to get clear times like that i am going to try the same. The only issue with ignore chests / barrels is getting stuck if you are botting while away from the PC.
Ah, thanks for your input. Have you tried using a "quicksilver flask of adrenaline", instead of whirling blade? It really helps with navigating through maps like: pier, underground sea, ect.
Ya i only used QSF up til yesterday when Alcor released the new playermover. Whirling Blade seems faster to me. At the very least is looks way cooler ;p And applies for fortify for the build i am using. The biggest advantage to using WB over QSF is you never run out of WB vs QSF get expended when backtracking and no way to refill them.
*UPDATE* 101 maps/ 4.2 minutes average clear = 424 minutes or 7 hours Loot/Drops/Currency: ~ 3ex Running two clients with roughly the same build-clear speed A lot of people are asking which build I'm running and whether or not I'm using any magic find. -I don't recommend using this build since it's really expensive - probably 20 ex worth of gear and gems (TALISMAN SC) -I have a couple magic find, roughly 80% IIR Recommendations -disabling strongboxes of all types besides: cartographer's, artisan's, and gemcutter's -i'm running dual quicksilver flasks of adrenaline (not just any ordinary quicksilver flask , it has extra movement speed on use) -purely running only magic maps (you can easily ignore certain affixes that can hurt clear speed: temporal chains, enfeeble, ect) - NOT doing chaos recipes -chromatic item looting (2X2 item dimensions only) These are just a few ideas on top of my head that I'm willing to share Enjoy mapping! Within the next 7 hours I'll try having chests enabled. * UPDATE UPTIME: 9 1/2 HOURS LOOT: 2 EX Chest was enabled Gained a level and a half ( im lvl 90+ for comparison) *UPDATE UPDATE (Currently experimenting with idling - reason for uptime) With 3 days of consistent data, I think I found a good balance between fast clearing and looting. I'm using AFI, picking up certain rares and bases for chancing. I'm alching all my maps, and chiseling 77+ and I'm able to sustain a 76+ map pool allllllll night long - for three days straight! (insane). Once there is logic regarding talisman mobs, I am 100% sure i can afk bot to lvl 100. Leveling gems to 20/20 or in some cases lvl3 has never been so easy. While I'm not picking up all rares - just certain bases and pieces , the gems I level help pay off the alchs, vaal orbs, and chisels I use to map. Estimated income/currency: Roughly around 8-10+ exalts from gems ALONE within 5-7 days. And I'm not even factoring it successful 21/20 or lvl 4 vaals. (profit can be even more insane) Observation: running alched maps and looting rares add roughly 20 seconds to my overall clear speed.
1) Including exalted/expensive items drop? 2) Did you count it, or just use currency tracker? Because it's kinda bugged.
Any tips on how to avoid getting stuck when turning OFF chests, boulders, etc? I am making very good clear times, however I seem to get stuck fairly often on tight hallway maps when a chest is sitting in the middle of the hall.
Sadly I don't believe there is a way around this currently. Best to keep the ones your getting stuck on, even if it does slow down the run a bit.
I think it's a must to enable boulders. Chest not so much, from what I've been seeing. Try ignoring certain map pools that have those layouts.
