I used to use it before and it was ok but very very unstable i found. I won't leave HB im fine just for now with the system i have running and farming gold.

Creating a mesh for navigation was a very good idea.... and one I am sure glider will mimic. As a bot tho, glider was years ahead of HB. Not only did it have many more features, it had tons less bugs and ran MUCH smoother overall.

If you add in the meshed pathing system (which would allow questing etc), glider would be on top as far as quality again.

Still have my lifetime sub here tho :)

Wasn't the main issue with Glider that it was based in the USA and they have laws that work for blizzard and that's why the guy got sued who owns it, where as in the EU companies can't be sued for working against Blizzard?

So if Glider did come back surely it wouldn't be by the same person and this means that it is a copy?

They were sued, but the lawsuit is still ongoing and as of the last time I read the forums (2 months ago), they had just won a major point and it was noted that they may have the injunction to sell lifted so they can continue selling.

If they win that lawsuit, Bliz cant touch them... and they would be back in business. Merc knows his shit... hes a much better developer then the people working on HB (of offense intended!), and if he is allowed to get back in to the game, he will quickly outshine HB/GB, mainly because he does not release buggy bots and listens (and responds) to his users.

It might be... but it doesnt really matter. I know Merc - Was an elite glider customer (with 10 accounts) for years. If he comes back, it may take him a couple months but he will be at the top again, I have no doubt.

Hey try not to bust on the Devs and admin here. They bust their balls working as hard and efficiently as possible so that we can still use bots. No system is perfect every bot has its ups and downs. Be thankful that a group of people got together and made a new bot for us to come to when Glider fell. Since some of yall wanna talk all that shit about them, why are you on their forum using their program if you dont like it or have a problem with it?

I've had honorbuddy for nearly a year. and it still feels like it's in beta. Glider was incredible and designed much better. But I give the guys credit here for continuing work. Only major problem here is they change things here so often that it's constantly breaking things.

      Slow down there fella.

Credit is given where its due. Yes, I use HB. Yes, I am very thankful that someone stepped up to the plate when glider was taken down.

That said, HB is not as good of a bot as glider was. Not even close... I'm not pointing fingers or anything, but truth is truth. I am sure the devs here are doing what they can... and I supported them by purchasing a lifetime copy... and if glider does not come back, ill likely get another lifetime so I can bot 6 at a time instead of 3 with HB. I currently use other bots as well for other things.

No matter whats said and done here, HB has issues and it has a very bad track record for being very buggy and having "botlike" behavior. Thats just fact... If you don't like that, then step up and fix it. Don't tell us not to praise a system that was better built and better supported, no matter the excuses/reasons.

Glider was cool on its days
but keep in mind that wow client in our days is totally diff
and wow in general have got many many new features
Glider without Ppather wasnt too good
and Ppather is a very old and slow nav in our days

if Glider comes back they have to rewrite it from scratch
the main problem of Glider is that cant run on 64bit systems if i am right

i know that glider will be slow and glitchy given its been down for some time but it would still be nice to have more than 3 bots running

I had it running on X64, but it had issues.

That said, X64 was not very widely used at all even 2 years ago. When Vista 64 came out it was so buggy people stayed with XP32. 64 bit processing (for gamers) did not hit mainstream until Windows 7 (well, Vista in the later releases was ok, but most gamers did not bother).

I am a developer, and supporting both 32 and 64 bit versions of a program is a pain, especially when the user base for 64 bit is small. If glider comes back now, I have no doubt at all that 64 bit will not only be supported, but will likely be the native release version, since most developers (myself included) develop on new computers, which means windows 7 ultimate 64 bit.

Will stick with the Buddy team until the end tbh.

Glider was ok for it's time, but it had it's issues.
The buddy suite is great. We get constant updates, new features, improved features. We have a tripwire, a great community that help and support each other.
On top of that, the devs are some of the best guys when it comes to WoW nowadays. On many hacking/coding forums, not just limited to WoW ones, they are well known and looked up to.

Frankly, we have it pretty good, glider aint got nothin' on the buddy products ;D.

Glider ran on 64bit systems, just without the shadow driver. :)
