Those of you using Windows Insider ..

Do not upgrade to build 14271

HB will not work with it.

      HB Devs..

something to keep in mind.. This build will be pushed to release at some stage.. Injection fails with this build - I think it has something to do with Direct x

You do know these builds will get pushed onto Windows 10 users in the very near future - normally it's about 5 weeks after a insider build is pushed its pushed to release and everyone connected to the Internet and running Windows 10 will automaticity get pushed this build ?

You telling me the core devs don't care about about a heads up on something like this

Tony probably have in mind, that these builds are dynamically changing.

There is no sense to adopt with non-official OS build, since it could or could not get live as is.

ok- But when did I ask anyone to adopt to a insider build ?

.. My company makes programs for rural farming companies in Australia - we have 3 mainstream products in the market at the moment.. And I can tell you that it is VITAL for us to keep and eye on insider builds because we like to have our product ready to go on release.. I'm not saying HB needs to go that far.

You cant tell me it would not be in the interest of a core dev to keep on eye on things like this (particularly when its to do with direct x- I vital part of HB) .

Also as of late- the last 3 insider builds have ALL been pushed to mainstream.

Hi, Thecamel, and thanks for the heads up.

You should report this bug to Msoft. Something they are doing in their update is breaking backward compatibility with existing programs that use legitimate programming techniques. We're certain that Honorbuddy won't be the only program affected.

They have created this kind of problem in the past with beta releases, and either repaired it immediately before a Release drop, or had to patch it shortly after the Release.

Windows 10 build 14271 ("insider previews", in general) is indeed a Beta, and its going to have more bugs than usual. The primary purpose of the preview is so people will report bugs like this to Msoft before the product is released to the wild.

      cheers,
      chinajade
