Hello, simple idea here that would be good for Druids. Often, my toon will farm a herb, loot, then get attacked. Now normally he will switch out of flight form and start firing DPS macros. Why not just fly away like a normal player would? This would save deaths, repairs and look less bot-like. Can't see it being hard to implement either - maybe even add an option to fly away if being attacked 100% of the time if in flight form, regardless of whether the herb was looted or not.
+1000 I can even add more - it should be NOT an ESCAPE. It would be great if checkbox "Druid - NEVER exit fly form HERB ONLY" in GB options would be available to us. If this checkbox is checked - when druid comes to a herb (to a node) - he should NOT dismount and just gather the herb (node). If on gathering he was interrupted by mob - he should TRY AGAIN 3 times. No dismounting, no hitting mob, just TRY to gather AGAIN. If he was interrupted all 4 times - fly away to the next node. That would be absolutely great. Super. Brilliant.
Then how should bot handle that node? Badnode it, which if was low lvl druid and only pulled agro cause low lvl, then when got higher lvl would not pull agro. But node badboded so won't herb it. 15 min black list. Like how it handles when ur herbing is not high enough, doesn't add to badnode list. Just a temp blacklist. 2in2fun I dont really understand. If u're botting some area u must be sure u can gather this area. No "low lvl druid". No such "low lvl pull agro". Lets take an example. I'm a 85 lvl 525 lvl herb druid and I'm farming Whiptail in Uldum. I found some node with Crocolisk sitting on top of it. NO MATTER what lvl I am, Crocolisk will have aggro on me when I DISMOUNT to gather herb. There should be NO dismount. There should also be NO dismount if I got interrupted while gathering. I should just try again, and fly away if I failed 4 times. Thats all! 100% human like behavior! Today you need 2 seconds to understand that someone is botting - because he dismounts from druid fly form to gather. This is absolutely unacceptable! This option is a must.
i agree.. switching out of flightform while herbing as a druid shouldnt happen... ever. this isnt even a debatable topic.. nobody thats actually playing a druid and manually herbing would EVER come out of flight form.. it just doesnt make any sense at all to fight a mob.. especially if you're a tauren and you have 0.5 sec herb gather time.
Bro, he's talking about your char's level. Not everyone starts farming at level cap. some people start at 80 for cata zones because you can level up from gathering. L:earn 2:wo T:hink O:utside T:he Bx -HoHv2
I make an example. It does not matter what level you are. You should NEVER leave the Fly form when you are a Druid. Cast time is too quick. Lvl 70, 75, 80, no matter. NEVER dismount. ALWAYS farm. Always repeat when interrupted. GB is actually barely usable as herb bot. Path record is not working at all. Druid act as a DUMB when farming. Very, very sad.
I always push my toons on farming. I've had lvl 78's gathering in uldum. If you stay on outer ring you avoid most agro. Was herbing in basin at 70. The xp is insane when gathering high lvl nodes. I have 2 toons lvled from 75 to 85 pure gather. And 2 more coming up same thing, just hit 80. And yes they have been in uldum already. And yes I agree tauren druid = awesome herber. Exact reason I have one, and reason my dk is cow. And yes I agree on don't come out of flight form. When by hand I wait for mob to walk away, swoop down gather fly off quick. And my name is in2fun. FIX - Looting should now 'descend' if flying. (To allow the new flight mechanics, to work properly while looting as a druid in flight form) But I'd have to agree... This would be an awesome feature =)
and even better would be for the druid : gather in Flight form woooot? Combat? Use elf racial and vanish h?h? et hop flight form and gather ang fly away
