Good Job on GB2

Hello everyone, I have been using the new GB2 in Honorbuddy and been loving it, Therefore i have made my first profile which is Whiptail Farming Route in Uldum and it ran for 4+hours without any problems. Please leave any feedback if you do have any problems and happy farming

Was running my warlock in Twilight Highlands using this profile, started it, but after 10 minutes it crashed giving me this error.

Running both herbalism and mining.

win7 64-bit

 

You sure it was in Twilight Highlands? Because it was herbing and mining

Yea I'm sure, started it in Stormwind and it picked up the path to Twilight Highlands, but it got past a few lowlvl nodes

To the people that say "omg I left it run all nite and got no nodes!" or "omg I left it run all nite and was high up in air I bet I got reported"

If your not 100% sure this is running right for you. Dont let it run over nite while afk!!!

Also to one who said made there own profile. How do you make your own profile? I must of missed it. Only way I can think of is to take old profile and rewrite it maybe?

 

I'm not reading all 11 pages; perhaps this should be answered in the first post: are old GB profiles useless now? How can we go about converting them?

 

Good news! Tryng it Right now!

 

You can use a blank profile template, and fly the route you desire to herb/mine, while clicking "My Position" in honorbuddy, and it will generate a list of hotspots, which you can then copy and paste into a profile, and voila, a home-made profile.

 

That makes it insanely easy. I'm assuming it uses the same variables that a normal HB template does where you can tell it to go in order to the various hotspots or randomize, etc?

 

In circle mode it gathers in order of the hotspots. I assume bounce uses them randomized, but I do not know for sure, as I have never used bounce mode.

 

Yea, like a guy previously said, just went to each position so it wouldnt collide with anything and clicked my position once i got them all i just copy / paste etc... and on circle mode it follows each hotspot so works quite nicely

 

Convert GB to HB profiles:

in VI:
s/<Waypoint>\(.*\) \(.*\) \(.*\)<\/Waypoint>/<Hotspot X="\1" Y="\2" Z="\3" \/>/

Copy and paste the Hotspot list into the HB profile.

Also to people who aren't gathering everything makes sure you go into the "Bot Settings" everytime and recheck the gather herbs/mines before you start the bot. It seems to lose those settings often and it doesn't tell you when neither Herb/Mine are checked.

 

When 3 or more nodes appears next to eachother the bot will not be able to decide where to go, and it will eventually keep on turning around till human interaction occours.

Atm. theres 2 herbs and 2 veins (Herbing is NOT ticked) - all it does is try to fly up and up and up, not knowing where to go, spinning on the same spot.

 

ZOMG i love you guys... I have been waiting for this day for over a year...

A few ideas I think would greatly help.

1. Add a blacklist UI into HB when it is running GB2
2. Build in a record profile UI into HB so it is much easier to build these profiles.
3. Build in a "custom waypoint button" that can be pressed to add an additional waypoint easily.

Side Note: Please build into the forum "Profiles by Zone" EG. Uldum: 13 Profiles Twilight Highlands: 11 Profiles

Other item is "trans-oceanic"... I have an idea about this. The bot should be able to target the ships captain and fly up and then back down to the deck of the ship and land by the captain. Then, the boat could be meshed and you select a random spot for it to sit. Another way, for the lower level guys, is to have it "force move" once the captain is target and within a "range" of the waiting position. This would guarantee that you wont fall into the ocean. The toon would walk onto the ship and wait for "x" time or until it me==not in game. This would allow people to move from one area to another in a true, all in 1 profile.

Anyhow - im just brainstorming. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help.

I think the boats would be in the UseTransport helper, could be wrong though. I'm not sure why you would need it though really. They made it such that you can level 1-85 and never leave the continent if you want.

 

Your probably right. I don't know much about the UseTransport helper. But I do know that if your designing a questing chain for 1-85 you probably want to go to Northrend and Outlands. It would be epic if all this was "automated".

I'm not a lifetimer, so I can't gather. Thus why I'm waiting for a gathering plugin. 'The Paid one'

 

Anyone else running into issues with GB and combat? I will fly down to mine a node, and my DK will get attacked but he doesn't attack back half of the time. What I see him doing is his pet getting killed, then my DK getting hit, THEN he attacks back.

This is using custom classes or even using the default class.
