I think there is a lot of things people are overlooking or ignoring. Or maybe I am just in the minority so let me list it out and I hope I can get peoples opinions on some of this stuff. 1.) I completely understand where you guys are coming from with not getting $$$ to pay developers. Even if people get banned the bot keys are still good, so you might get random influxes of like 10-15 bots bought and then nothing for a long time. Developer(s) are not going to go without pay for 6 months because no one has bought new sessions. Disbanding the bot or paying monthly is the ONLY way to go. However that brings up a few different issues. 1.) This community is very closed mouth about everything. Information sharing is almost non existent. I am no computer guru for sure, and it took me talking to like 8-10 different people just to figure out how to bot this game and set up a VPN or get a VPS service. This is not helpful in bringing in new users and having everyone enjoy the fun of botting. The more info that is shared the less profits people feel they are going to get. "OMG if I teach this new guy how to bot he is going to steal my profit!" Hell half the people won't even talk about what builds they run. They are "secret" 2.) The only way monthly subscription would work is for people that RMT. I have ONE session that I payed for because I enjoy botting and enjoy having some extra currencies to spend on my chars and such. I do not know how to RMT, I do not know who to sell to, is it sites? is it personal? Do you have to know the right people? If I could make steady profit from farming and selling currency/exalts I would buy a lot a more. However no one is going to tell others how to do this because of the same thing I mentioned before. If 100 people know how to bot and RMT (just picking a number) and they tell 500 other people... well supply and demand. Prices will go down people will make less money. So no one is going to share that information. I have a mortgage to pay, I live on my own and I have my own expenses. Utilities/house payment/food/gas for car/phone bill/internet bill etc. Unless you know how to RMT in this game most average people will not be able to pay monthly subscriptions for 10+ bots. 3.) I have nothing against the developers or pushedx I should say, nor the buddy team. You guys keep the bot updated and running. However 95% of the stuff that lets us RUN the bot is made by community developers. Alcor, tony, DBF, exvault etc. This is incredibly frustrating. I love these guys to death, but without them we could barely bot. Level everything by hand, not be able to do any recipes, no flasks, cant run maps, etc... These should be things that should be handled by buddy team developers. Im sure its way to much work for one guy especially when he is busy completely updating the bot with all of POE's patches and such but if this was to happen and monthly subscription is the way you guys went, the main plugins and development should not be coming from other botters. 4.) What would happen if another game changing patch breaks the bot for another 4-6 weeks. Im sure you guys would put payments on hold or something, but I would want to make sure that was a FOR SURE. I would not be paying over an entire months payment for a bot that I couldn't use. 5.) What would happen to our LIFETIME subscription(s) right now? Would we get like 3 free months to test it out? I don't mean to nit pick, but we payed a pretty hefty price for a lifetime subscription that we would now turn into a monthly payment if this moved in that direction. I get it, shit happens, but for those of us who don't RMT. It matters. I really love botting POE and I love the buddy forums and buddy team and I would love to see this go forward. However I think before I could fully commit to it I would need a lot more information of how some of this would work. And since im poor and don't know how to RMT, if I did commit it would probably be one bot and id pay more than likely $10-$15 USD max.
You can always set goals, like Valve does for The International compediums, with each monetary goal from "donations" we get a free for all plugin. Like this if we get X ammount of money the buddy team will make an official Master plugin shipped with the bot, if we get 2x we get Master + a loot filter/auto equip similar to Demonbuddy. There is a reason Dota 2 tourn. have a 20m prize pool, people like to get rewards for goals. There is tons of ways to monetize the bot adding to the subscription revenue. You couldn't be more wrong about that, don't talk about things you don't have experience with. Not only do many honorbuddy devs give away their work for free, but they also help a great deal in support and teaching other people ( including myself ) to make your own profiles. Also the quality of many free profiles are way superior then the buddy store products, there is just a demand for it because it's way less used since it has a price tag.
I don't mind playing monthly/yearly or w/e as long as the price is reasonable and the support is there, and the bot can do basic things like native support for quest progression and maps. Hopefully the rest the community can pick up.
YES YES YES! I would pay anything up until 50€ a month (per license) for this. I rarely ever log in to say things. This is one of the few times i actually do it coz u said it was important
This idea with making poll sounds good and would be faster also I want to share my opinion as EB user - I can afford to pay something around 15 $ to 30 $ a month coz my bot is extremely good at map farming 2:30 - 3:30 on map (82% explore) and 5 min to 6 min (100% explore) so with 10-12 h a day I'm getting around 5-7ex (in pure currency) I think dats enough reason for paying even 30$ a month . Just learn to manage ur bots well as mine and u wont have problems with paying Thanks in advance to people who gave 2nd chance on EB project.
Only with zero ban rate and only for those who have less than 10 bots For those who have 10+ the price higher than $15 is barely profitable. Especially when other bot costs only 7.5/month or 15/3-months. It is much weaker but costeficiency is very important when you bot for profit
As I mention it on my post u should learn to mange ur bots.I haven't got ban since I'm using EB ( 8 bots here btw ) I dont want to mention exact period of time but as I'm saying I havent got any ban since I'm using this bot and doing pool would be faster with 3 option for example : 1 session around 15$ to 30$ / 3 sessions with 15% discount / 5 sessions with 25% or something like this dunno what u think and just let the community to vote and if you(developers working on EB) approve it then just release it anew.
Great bot, willing to pay up to $5-10 USD a month which I think is fair. This equates to $60 - $120 PA, way more than the lifetime price. I dont think I would be willing to pay $15, $30 USD honestly, that is way too much.
Boss, I think we deserve transparancy about your money goal by month before you determine a price. If you accept to relaunch exilebuddy, we know you count on getting lot more clients in the futur. (China market). Its a bit too easy for you to just raise the price and counting on your actual customers base to make it worth it, especially after what's happened.
would love to pay up to 20€ monthly, if that keeps the bots running good think i still looked at the forum.... i think many wont even look or hear the news that there is still a chance
I am also willing to pay a Monthly fee... But I think everything above 10€ is not representative for the current state of the bot, sure it's a good base but like a lot of other people already said it's nothing without the community plugins. I could even think of a premium sub model... Like 6.99 basic bot, 8.99 map plugin, 11.99 master plugin and so on. I usually don't Post much in the forum also but this sudden close of the bot is just a shame for the "company" It's the usual case of shot first and ask questions afterwards... Hopefully this is now being realized by the responsables. Any way I still can't say any bad about the bot because it's just a awesome product, greets to pushedx dbf alcor tonyx and all other which I can't remember right now Lifetime sub with this price was a nice time but you know, all good things usually have a Ugly finish... Wow...
