At least it is not a permanent closure like the one that happened for my herber....Had only run HB for about 12 hours total a few days ago 1)Were you using Honorbuddy, Gatherbuddy or both on the account? HB 2)If so, when was the last time?: 2 days ago 3)What profile were you using?: Grinding profile that I made 4)What combat class were you using? if None Just put Default then the Classname: SimpleDK 5)What plugins are you using?: Buddycenter, etc--No tells, no nothing. 6)How many hours per day did you bot for?: 6 hours each day 7)How many auctions per day did you have?: 0 8)Did you Use Any Other Bots, Hacks, or Mods? NOPE 9)Was your account involved in gold selling? NOPE 10)EU or US realm? US Still deciding if it is worth the appeal; anyone had any experience w/ how they do rollbacks if you claim you were hacked (for botting bans, not gold selling ones)? Last time I succeeded in convincing them, they rolled back the herber a few days and took away arena points. Letter is below. ----------------- Account Action: 72 Hour Suspension Reason for Action: Terms of Use Violation -- Exploitative Activity: Use of Third Party Automation Software This suspension happened because one or more characters on this account were identified using an unauthorized ***** program, also known as a ""hack."". These programs provide character benefits normally not achievable in the World of Warcraft. Such benefits include, but are not limited to, increased speed, teleportation, or running through walls/boundaries. Use of these unauthorized programs harm the game environment because they offer an unfair advantage over other players and superscede the intended limits of the game. --------------------
haha woooo. Looks like blizzard decided to do another batch of us. Ah well. Lets enjoy our vacation and hop back on in 3 days, right?
wow wow only 12 hours its got to be bot detection then, cause only that amount no player report in that amount of time, no way. We need to hide this bot more so many people know about it, I mean u think blizzard dosnt know, Bans like these worry me.
relax, its only a 72 hour suspension and its right after a patch day. This is actually pretty normal from the looks of it. Be expecting a few others to pop in here with a 72 hour too.
I got permabanned just now for selling gold. Not going to bother to make a thread about it, though. Second time in two weeks. It seems as long as you don't sell gold, you're less likely to get (perma)banned. I never receive suspensions; I only get permabans.
Ya I got that last week as well, sent in an appeal and bam I am out in the highlands once more. To the person who said that bs about bot detection, that is simply wrong. They do not suspend you when they detect the bot, they suspend because they "think" that you might be botting--for one reason or another. Warden protection is fine, Devs are doing their jobs etc. Just seems like Bliz is wising up on how to identify bots/gold sellers other than just using warden.
I got the same 72 hour suspension, but when I tried logging on my password doesn't work, is that suppose to happen o_o
yup. first starts with a password change. then you change the password back. Then you get the notice of suspension.
Appeal failed. Kind of surprised since I put more effort into this email than I did for the one that succeeded in getting a permanent closure over-ruled. Oh well, 72-hour vacation it is.
Your activity and amount of time online is almost identical to me. Since my last spree of banned accounts I have been limiting my farming time to 5 to 8 hours per day maximum in an attempt to avoid any server side triggers.
That was my plan. My hunch was that they were doing suspensions for statistical analysis, rather than "flagging and checking up" on offenders. Weird thing is though, the reply letter I got said "In addition, you are responsible for any unauthorized ***** software found to be running in conjunction with World of Warcraft, regardless of the location and ownership of the computer used to log into the service." So, honestly, who knows what is going on.
