I bought an arena 2h weapon for my warrior that I saved up 3 weeks for, and a day later they hotfixetd a talent making it so that 1H are better in every aspect with my spec. I know it's a long shot, but I want to open a ticket and ask if I can have my points refunded, 2h's are inferior in every aspect now.

I'm just not sure if it's worth it, first, I think it may be highly unlikely for them to refund me although highly unfair, but I have heard of people getting nice GMs that will assist. Of course I wouldn't bot while the ticket was up, but I am just curious how much information they'll pull up on me when they try to assist me.

Is it too risky? I'd really have to hate grinding another 3 weeks for a PvP weapon when I could have my 2nd one by then.. but I guess it's better than getting my account banned. What do you guys think?

In a case like this, it seems unlikely that they're going to do a check-up on your account to see if you've been active more than should be possible.
That being said, I always think of things in the most logical way I can, but can't say if the GM will do the same.

It WILL depend on the GM and if you've had items restored before. Instead of telling them warriors got nerfed, tell them you just noticed it was the completely wrong item, act pretty much as stupid as can be. If they tell you they can't help you, ask if they can move a ticket to someone who can. You gotta be adamant and ignorant. Seems to work more than trying to be logical from my past experiences.

Thanks for the tips. My main concern is inadvertently getting my own account flagged by filing a ticket, but it does seem pretty unrelated, so I hope that's not the case.

And I have heard of people saying that they bought the wrong item out of ignorance, but usually GMs say that they can only return it within the 2 hour time slots when it's purchased. I figured this hotfix would warrant a refund as it's pretty gamebreaking for anyone using 2H.

File a ticket. People are far too paranoid.

I' sure the GM's don't have time or the desire to go digging into every person's past that files a ticket.

Gee this guy files a ticket, He must be botting.

Unlikely that this is a scenario that will happen.

You have no worries about making a ticket for something like this; the gm's that handle it do not handle the bans and suspensions, it's a completely different department. Those guys get so many of these requests that they handle them quickly and just move on, it wont flag your account or anything. Hell I've opened tickets for my friends being hacked (Me watching them log on and off repeatedly without any response for an hour or so) and havent had any issues.

If you are online when we will want to talk with you is fine, if you are botting pretty obvious what will happen.

They wont give you back the conquest points. Sorry.
You get a 2 hour timer, you get confirmation boxes where you say you are sure. First for buying the item, then for enchanting it.

A friend of mine bought the wrong tier piece and they told him no so.
