hej there botters got something interesting information for you guys... After the January Banwave I wanted to try something out: - bought new wow key and created new account - did a fresh windows installation The January Banwave was on Tuesday\Wensday, therefore I waited for the buddyteam to update and used the bot only on saturday for 12 hours (with multiple breaks and I monitored it all the time) and a few hours on sunday - used vpn and only used the bot to level from 100 to 110 - after I hit 110, I did a fresh install again on my machine and played for about 1 week and quit as wow without a bot was boring and today I remembered and went to check if the account was alive and boom it was banned in the February Banwave My thought process was, if honorbuddy pushes an update on thrusday evening or friday morning while claiming that they fixed the detection stuff that led to the banwave... blizzard would at least need time till monday tuesday to push for counter messures (as no development team is working on the weekend), therefore I highly doubt that the buddy team has any clue how they are getting detected, just my 2 cents TLDR Banwave happend -> BuddyTeam did investigation -> Claimed that they ve have found and bypassed the new detection stuff and pushed new update -> I used bot for 1 day -> got banned at the next wave
its april why would you wait two months to check if it was banned. i feel there is more to this story. Maybe you were botting too long at once or did something wrong.. like the vpn or something
Honestly I think your right. Ever since they got the source code from Herobuddy {or whatever it was called} it seems like Blizzard has had an edge. Or they could be running metrics to detect now, along the lines of Fairfight. Of course with stuff like this, the days of honor buddy and safe botting might just be over. as I said, after I finished leveling to 110, I reinstalled windows (therefore no trace of honorbuddy) and played manually for a week and stopped playing wow after the week as it was boring without a bot and I just recently remembered to check if the account was alive It was kind of a detection, as I was banned in the banwave and there is no way that someone reported me and a gm checked up on me within 24 hours on a weekend maybe they have some crazy serverside detection stuff, state of the art machine algorithms, which can detect based on inputs if a human or program is sending the commands
There was no banwave in January. Last one was on 1st of Feb, previous ones were on 11th and 21st of November.
there was a banwave that got some lesser bot in january i though. he could be using more then 1 bot . maybe works for blizzard and cant tell what bots they banned when
