I tried starting up HB for the first time (new user) and the moment I login, WoW has a fatal crash and closes. I have read all the tutorials I found, crash posts that seemed similar, and performed the advice in them with no luck. WoW reports DX9, I am using vanilla HB and I even tried removing the Talented plugin. I get the same result each time, the moment my HB login completes WoW crashes fatally. Attached is a log.
Win7 64bit Home Relatively new / fresh install, and drivers / software is up to date. Confirmed .Net 3.51 SP1 is enabled. I do not have .Net 4.0 installed. Editing to also add that I have AVG installed and tried uninstalling it. I still get the same error.
Ok just did a fresh download, new directory, and made sure hb exe was set to run as administrator. I got the same problem with the new install. I have included the log from the crash on the new install in case that helps.
Since I saw Instance Buddy crashing in my previous logs I temporarily removed the InstanceBuddy directory to see if it would load without it. Wow still instantly crashes when I log into HB. Including that log in case it can be of any use.
what gxAPI are you running on wow? D3D9, 11 gll or opengl ? open a chatbox and run this. /run print(GetCVar('gxAPI')) http://www.wowwiki.com/CVar_gxApi
Yeah I tried that first thing and have tried it a few times since just to make sure, but wow prints D3D9 every time.
So I changed the resolution around, (kept it windowed as per install intructions), removed addons and tried a few other things, and still crashing. However, one time WoW crashed and loaded up WoWError with a dump of the memory violation so I am including that log for you guys. ERROR #132 (0x85100084) Fatal Exception Program: D:\Games\World of Warcraft\WoW.exe Exception: 0xC0000005 (ACCESS_VIOLATION) at 0023:6E6D2D65 The instruction at "0x6E6D2D65" referenced memory at "0x088B0440". The memory could not be "written".
I ran both as administrator and same results. I have been running HB as administrator, but not WoW, up to now, setup through properties, compatibility. Just to make sure I ran them both as administrator directly from the properties menu. I ran wow windowed at 1024x768, settings at low, and confirmed at D3D9.
weird. you'll have to wait for a dev to respond (it's 4am in europe atm) it's probably something dumb too ... thats the sad part take the night off and hopefully your issue will be fixed in the morning
Yes I am running the very latest video drivers. This is a newer laptop with the dual Intel / Nvidia graphics cards. It switches to whichever card is needed for the job. Is it possible HB is trying to connect to the Intel HD card?
Hey I was having the same problem but realized I was running the last built of HB, not the new one. Once I updated it fixed it. Give that a shot
I've been getting this same problem as well, running the same setup and have tried all options that were given here, if their is another solution please post your ideas. Thanks!
same problem here but im win xp 32bit user...all drivers updated did the stuff above etc etc. The only difference is every time I crash i get the wow error memory dump. I got the grind bot to atleast start but any time i try questing its instant crash as soon as I select my cc and it starts. gonna try to run the grind bot and see what happens. Edit- ok i'm running grind bot ok killed 3-4 mobs by now with no problems
I am, and have been, using Honorbuddy 2.0.0.4129. I can't even get to the point of setting a bot. I start HB, login and the moment it says Starting Session 1/3 Wow Crashes. Maybe 1 second after I hit the login button on HB.
i will forward this to Apoc he is more experienced about wow crashes but tell me plz what is the CoProcManager that its installed on your pc?
sorry, A bit o f a laymen and google wasn't very helpful. Where would I find out what my CoProcManager is?
