Area Hunter - Grinding Botbase, no profile needed!​

What is Area Hunter?
Area Hunter is a free botbase, for those who tend to grind in a particular area. It requires no profile, which means you're not likely to get tagged running the same route all the time. It runs directly to combat distance for each mob and then lets your CR do it's thing!

It's not perfect, but it will do the job. Feedback is appreciated but may be ignored at developer's discretion. Anything marked (Theoretically) has not been tested thoroughly and user discretion is advised. Project based on code available here and may contain snippets of modified code gleaned when asking for help in the developer section.

Features:

• If the bot dies, it will run back and retrieve it's corpse
• It will perform any pre-combat routines, like buffs
• It will loot (and skin if available) any mobs that it kills
• Should the bot be attacked, it will defend itself
• It will hunt out new prey in the area
• If it can not find anything else, it will proceed to run back to where it started, then wait until new enemies respawn
• Blacklist any mobs you DON'T want to pull and attack(Eg big bosses in the area)
• White list mode, where listed mobs will be the only ones your bot will attack. Will still defend itself if attacked by other mobs.

What the bot will not do (at this stage):

• Blacklist mobs that continuously evade and ignore.
• Repair armour when durability is low
• Mail items when bags are full
• Sell items when bags are full
• Use hearthstone when bags are full.
• Destroy items when bags are full
• Stop wandering off in distances of 1 mile or more.
• Basically everything else that's not listed here.

How can I download and use Area Hunter?

As with other botbases, the Area Hunter folder provided in the zip should be placed in <Honorbuddyfolder>\Bots\

 

Planned:

• Quick fix, hearthstone on bags full and stop bot
• Blacklist mobs that have the continuous evade bug
• possibly user requested features??

 

What's the radius it will look for combat ?

Good luck with the botbase! It's going to be interesting to see if this is any different from the other similar autogrind botbases

 

At this stage? Basically forever. In a more useful phrase, it will continue running around while it can still see targets, with no regard to how far it is from where it starts.

During testing, I wasn't using a list and it worked it's way from the middle of nagrand, to the elite area by highmaul. Using whitelist was fine though and kept to an area the specific mobs were in.

At this stage it's definitely worse Maybe it will get better as I learn more about honor buddy's api, I don't plan for it to be as well featured as Grind+ or Templar. Free bot base, ya know?

Change log:
-Bot no longer gets stuck staring at corpses
-You can now choose whether or not you want to skin mobs. More useful for lower level areas.

Just a little update since I had time for it. Hope you are all having a wonderful day

 

I decided to try to use this to farm Ogre Waystones, however I am seeing a looting issue. I noticed you fixed a "staring at corpse" bug with your latest release. While he does not stare at the corpse now, it keep trying to target it over and over. Often jumping between a current target and the old corpse. It seems to happen when he cannot loot the corpse for some reason, whether it was combat or just moving to fast!

 

This is just what I was looking for now that Grind+ is not working. I like to mix up the manual play and the bot grinding so this is excellent!!!

 

This code haven't been looked at for ages, it used to work but most likely not with current HB, feel free to use whatever you want from it Digit.

 

Heya all. Haven't really had the money to mess around with bots in WoW, can't afford new accounts every time and my suite of lifetime keys got gobbled up anyway Not sure if my code still works. Thanks AknA for sending the Templar code though!
