I Noticed in the tips thread about using the bot that you all had said that there is a pretty significant chance of appealing your bans/suspensions with success... My question is, is that true? like, if you WERE actually botting? Can you actually try and plead a case, or deny that you were using a bot and plead for your account back? does that actually work? I was recently suspended..AGAIN! and this time its for 18 months.. this was pretty disheartening this time around.. even the bot use i did have was pretty limited. and i never used it for gathering, never listed auctions, never BG'd etc. I was actually really trying to play it low key.. only doing like, world quests mainly.. infact, thats pretty much all i used it for.. oh and withered army training... I havnt seen a bunch of other users mentioning bans on the forums so i was thinking it was an isolated incident... anyone have any tips? can i actually try and appeal my ban?
18 months? sorry they will not overturn it. That is a pretty serious time frame, if they handed it out they have proof. Especially given the previous ban on account they will not believe you.
Only way I have ever successfully seen this done is to log into your account with a VPN then submit a ticket saying you tried to log in but it says you got banned and you don't know why. Don't go on with unnecessary excuses just ask for help and sometimes they might buy it and unban you. It is pretty scummy to do tho because the staff has other people to help. And I seen your story behind your ban so you basically have no chance of reversing it. Syntactix's gathering profiles were never safe. I am pretty sure most of them get stuck and I am surprised they even got approved for the buddy store.
yea, they def denied my plea.. and i havnt used a gathering profile since my first ban back in the beginning of the year. i figured that was surely the cause of my ban last time so i had decided i wouldnt AFK the bot and i'd only do it for world quests and withered training... sure enough, i still got banned... shame.
