I totally agree on this. BUT botting was never safe, always keep that in mind.

I never bot on my main account anyway. I know what you mean. Opening new accounts is not cheap.
But, Blizzard wants us to believe botting is dead, but we gotta keep it alive :)

When I started WoW (12 years ago), I had just entered college, and life was easy. Then, as time passed by, got one degree, then the second, bought a house and got married. Now, with so many expansions and tons of activities in WoW, how can I continue enjoying the game I always loved? I don't know if Blizzard has ever looked at the issue from this perspective. That's why I am grateful to people who devote their time to develop botting softwares.

At first, when Honorbuddy cancelled 3 of my lifetime keys (one of them was DemonBuddy), I was pretty upset. But, then I realized with the current situation, Bossland couldn't survive just like other companies. When I used to play WoW on Mac, my favourite bot was Pocket Gnome. However, they were shut down because they couldn't fight a multi-billion dollar company like Blizzard. I wish that would never happen to Hoonorbuddy and Bossland.

Maybe, they could create servers that people are free to bot and set a restriction that wouldn't allow them transfer characters to servers where botting is not allowed. I mean....this could totally work! What do you guys think?

When did they get rid of the lifetime keys? I remember they used to have them, maybe I even bought one back in the day and just don't remember what email etc it was on

Soapboxrotations had most of its OSX users banned a few weeks ago.

Blizzard now has a god tier anticheat expert who used to work for kaspersky: he got up to speed on Overwatch and is now herding the leftover and millennial sheeptards hidden away in the warcraft spare room.

OS corps are also adding anticheat to their platforms, and Blizz is already negotiating with OS and AV companies to buy lists of any client using bot signatures.

Mostly only Chinese bots running now, and you should have noticed realm prices starting to spike because of all this (wow accountants have demanded gold farming be killed so ah prices go up so increased casual player token purchases make up for free falling sub numbers).

Second note: the god tier anticheat expert is close to finishing a vector for banning pixel bots (especially with auto clickers) that will attach to suspected accounts via heuristic feedback, but if he fails (he's good but not as good as he thinks he is and has sold himself to be) Blizzard is about to drop an updated screen lock and other code to combat the final few standing WoW bots, including: several chinese, one korean, Frozen, Maxdps.ru, and some other semi-private workarounds (with a focus on the russians and world firsts).

And he will continuing messing with loldk and FH, which he views as his personal nemesis.

The only thing holding them back is concerns about just how many subs are using pixel bots, and the reaction from the user base to the the new screen lock code side effects.

i dont understand why it hurts blizzards economy to let people use a rotation bot. you still have to do all the mechanics by hand and its not like its farming shit for you they should stop fucking around with the rotation bots. Im sure they will let up because with out bots wow would have died a long time ago.

I'm not sure if you're trolling but rotation bots sure as fuck reduce game fun for an important segment of the sub population (though not necessarily a large segment). Have you never heard of the 10,000 hour rule which is completely bypassed by rotation bots?

Imagine two new heroic/mythic raider trials apping for a spot on the team: one playing by hand and one using a rotation bot. The one playing by hand has to learn all the new mechanics while also doing a perfect rotation. The rotation botter only has to learn the mechanics. Who do you think is going to perform better on average every single pull? Who is more likely to die to fire or put more pressure on healer mana? Who is most likely going to remember mechanics every pull as that's all they have to concentrate on? Who is going to look like they are improving the fastest each pull? Who is going to get chosen for that spot?

How fun is it for the player who was passed over for a machine-assisted player (and if he complains he only hears some morons saying "get gud" etc.).

A raid leader will put up with rotation botters as everyone wants to progress through boss kills (don't ask don't tell) even though it takes seconds to figure out if someone is rotation botting (one of the reasons so many guild logs are private) because a player who has never seen a fight is somehow ranking orange the first time and then on each and every pull his guild make on every new boss (after the bosses have been killed hundreds of times by actual talented guilds).

These effects are amplified even more in Mythic+ and PvP. It is funny/sad now to see Mythic+ lfg postings bleating lonely into a vacuum for hours now seeking 2k+ or 2.3k+ checking progress or checking .io because most of those were rotation botters who are now banned or scared to play or about to have their pixel bots banned.

Do you not think rotation botting, especially pixel bots and semi private or private bots that haven't been banned yet, are used in world races? No cheating because it's world firsts? Ever heard of Lance Armstrong? Haven't you seen raiding guilds merging or dropping like flies on your server (as their "best" players get banned)? Haven't you seen recruiting skyrocketing since the waves?

Do you not understand how warcraftlogs, .io, PvP ladder boards, and mythic+ parsing and logs are completely skewed by rotation bots? Are rankings not used to decide if you are chosen for raids, mythic pluses, rbgs, and pvps? And the snowball effect of better rankings mean better spots mean better gear/rarer mounts/achieves mean better invites mean better rankings mean...

The main problem with rotation botting (which I don't care about by the way) is that there are too many retards using rotation bots who then brag about their parses and ranks and post their hps/dps every pull and throw it in the faces of everyone else (even though they have absolutely nothing to brag about). They also believe in their tiny little brains that they could also play perfect rotation while doing mechanics, they just don't want to, or they have lives and don't want to waste time mastering the game like those other stupid suckers, or they are just so leet they can multitask and also watch videos or text others while playing. And rotation botters actually believe they are better/more talented/smarter than the average player. Which is insane.

It's bizarre (and should be studied by psychologists) just how much contempt for other players rotation botters have along with their unwarranted superiority complexes. Just how smug they are. They also then go on to spout about how shitty warcraft is after their bans (it is shitty, but not because learning a rotation is something you need a machine for) and that they are too talented and skilled and good for it and moving on to a much better game.

These are the ones who are personally responsible for all the complaints and bringing down the wrath of blizz on rotation botting. If they would have all just shut the fuck up and been modest about their "leet skillz" (of course they should have been modest, for fuck sakes, they had very little to do with their ranks and parses) rotation botting would have been ignored and alive after the next three months (at least until blizz wants it to be an accepted esport). And this is why no one has sympathy for rotation botters and break out the popcorn to read forums when these no talent players start screeching that it's not fair they were banned.

As always, you didn't read a word I said, I wasn't complaining about rotation bots, I was complaining about how they were used that brought down heat on everyone.
