I totally get the frustration of the people in the community. Being something that was done without prior communication or notice is indeed a poor business practice and will absolutely hinder customer trust... However, I do believe if a middle ground can be reached, the situation can be turned around. I think that anybody who works for a living can understand the value of their time while at work. And I cannot imagine the countless hours these guys have put into the bot. I can understand having a need to compensate their time to put out a product we can all be happy with.

Personally, I tend to be an optimist. And I will hope the community gives the developers of the bot a chance to redeem themselves. I know many wont agree with this, but I urge people to put themselves on the developers shoes. The same way, I urge Bossland to put himself on the shoes of all the users. Like I mentioned before... perhaps a middle ground can be met. For example: Where keys are reactivated and proper notice is given with a reasonable amount of time to hopefully regain some of the trust from the community. Maybe even reduced, competitive rates to all or at least those who have previously committed to a lifetime membership.

This is just my 2 cents, as someone who can understand both sides of the spectrum.

      Cheers.

To be fair, while there is grumbling about the keys being cut with no warning, the real issue is the massive jump in price. This bot is more expensive than the game itself at this point.
I don't think anyone is blaming Mastahg at all.

Sweeping all lifetime keys under the rug without a heads up is a scam. What's gonna happen next? Taking down the bot from one day to the other without a warning?
I'm sorry, but Bossland has lost all credibility of being anywhere stable for customers if they're pulling stuff like this. It's not mastahg's fault that this is happening so please don't take it out on him, but this ship is sinking.
The only thing keeping this bot alive is the support from 3rd party developers (which have to sell/support their products through private discords because they're not allowed to on these forums, ironically.)
With awful moves like this, developers will just stop working on products for a bot that doesn't have the stability of staying afloat.. Lifetime keys showed some sort of credibility towards Bossland, but now..? not so much.

I truly appreciate the support from the community developers, you are what made this bot amazing. I will no longer give a single cent to Bossland.
For those who are considering paying monthly to pay for another sub for crafting, consider checking out a certain underrated miqote.

P.S. If like me, you purchased your lifetime key through PayPal, consider issuing a refund. PayPal will side with you as you were sold a lifetime product.

Mastagh, please go independent, I rather pay you directly than any commission/cut that would benefit in anyway to bossland

Right, Mashtag doesn't deserve all the hate. He's just the only one with the professionalism to address the situation, and he's being gunned down for his courage. The sad part is that Bosslands and the Bee guy pretty much abandoned him on the field. Where's his support? This is Bossland's opportunity to either bring hope to the community--or turn his back on it--and his star developer.

This is definitely something we should protest, It's unreasonable.

Also feigning ignorance like we wouldn't notice.

Oh I think we would all support if Mas decided to go independent. Would also be neat if he could use some of the proven devs to help take some weight off his shoulders to help out. Not like the community is dead. The FORUMS however... but anyone who knows the real people around.. know where the discord is.

We just need bossland to look at the price structure.

What hate? He isn't getting hate. People are complaining about the company's lack of respect for users, not him. Commenting on a rising price for a product without additional features is fact, not hate.

Personally I'd rather start funding Mastag for something rather than this whole ordeal with RB and Bossland. This is too complicated as there is this huge divide between Bossland's bot and the Devs creating content for it, if Bossland is struggling with money, they need to be the ones to restructure what they are selling not so much how they are selling it, I.E taking away lifetime keys from previous buyer, to negate that cost they need to supply more content. I understand why Bossland would want more money as they have the right to want so to cover service costs along with life expenses, but I do agree with other people's comments as they did sell a Lifetime key, then revoked the lifetime from being purchased, than moving forward to revoking the lifetime from previous buyers. As a financial adviser and chief for the past two years, I'm only going off experience but there are better ways for Bossland to handle the situation.

A failed company found a way to make some more money by squizing what they can from their last bot...

First of all i am going to ask for charge back from paypal... not because i need the money or because i didnt get value from what i paid but because of this ninja move from bossland.

Secondly i will wait to see if saga does any move, cause lisbeth is the only thing worth on this bot that you cannot dind on other bots. They basically depend on saga for their bot... maybe they had an agreement with him for extra pay to stay on rb? Whatever happens the cost to pay to just use lisbeth in not worth it.

Rb will become niche bot for few people.

What is a huge disappointment was there was literally no notice about this happening. I went to log in earlier, only to find out my LIFETIME key said expired. I'd of been more inclined to donate financially if there was at least a warning. But even the post about the other buddy bots didn't include RebornBuddy, absolutely NO where in the statement. Where was our head up? I'm very tempted to request a chargeback from PayPal. I can't believe that this had even happened to begin with and it sure as hell is the completely opposite way to keep a base of supporters. Where was the email? Was the notice originally planned just to surprise people with a "key expired" upon launching this? I am completely baffled and will never, nor will I ever recommend, this service for any botting needs. This is sad, I loved this bot, and you ruined it by, without NO NOTICE, causing our keys to fail. What a waste of money, and time, for a developer to do this to a loyal fanbase. You've lost me and from what I see, you're losing many more. What in the actual hell were you thinking surprising everyone like that?

Yeah, I'm in this boat as well. I bought RB exclusively because it was a Lifetime key. The competition at the time just wasn't very attractive when compared to that. Getting zero heads up that my key was going to be terminated is a low blow as well. It's like I wasn't valued as a customer at all to Bossland.

My lifetime key (or 3600 days) is no more functionnal, without any warning.
      Nice.
Now, if i understand i have to pay more for the same tool (which can't fly, can't make gold saucer money).
Thanks for the community but it's time to watch the other market.
Unfortunately, i made a direct payment, not by paypal, i can't ask a charge back.

      Congratulations on effectively killing RB.
If you needed more money, then communicate that. Don't just revoke every single lifetime key.

Vanilla RB is a bunch of garbage and I have 0 interest in supporting the developer of the product if they can't have a functional product.

The product only works with the help of the developers of profiles, plugins and botbases and now that you've done this, they have 0 interest in creating and keeping their product up-to-date because they have to pay extortionate monthly fees (which you have artificially inflated).

      You should have done 2 things for lifetime key holders;
Determine if they are a developer - offer them a heavily discounted monthly key.
If they are a normal user, off a discounted monthly key.

But you're an idiot and can get fucked. I'm off back to minion.

What I think bossland didn't realize is now nobody can trust them. Without a warning, or explanation before the key expiration, the major questions is who are they coming for next? Will they cancel the three session keys because they can't afford that? Will the six month go out the window two days into purchasing it because they can only support monthly now? With the major bungling of this, what are they going to do when the profits continue to go down?

I fail to see how removing lifetime keys is going to generate the revenue you seek.... We've seen what happened to the other products, and WE didn't even get a heads up prior like they did...

I bought my key back mid HW, so howcome people who got it in 2016 have lost out too?

Bossland clearly values his customers /s

      Just my two cents,

I've been here since RB beta. Mash, you borrowed my account to test scholar's shadow flare implementation. Bought a lifetime key when you(or the company) started charging for it. Bought another one after that.

When the announcement that buddies are going to stop offering lifetime keys, I had no problem paying monthly. I didn't expect you to grandfather any keys but you did and I appreciate it.

I got a lifetime wildbuddy and tankleader key. I had a demonbuddy lifetime, two honorbuddy, and a hearthstone key as well. I have no problem spending money to support you, the devs, whatever.

But why are there no announcement?

I got home, I logged in, and I found out that my key expired. Is that how you want your customer to know?

Don't get me wrong, I still don't expect you to honor my lifetime key I just want you to give me a heads up on these things. You didn't tell me now that you're canceling my key how would I know that if I paid for a subscription that you won't cancel that as well without telling me?
