Does anybody know if this is a scam or not? I bought one from a level 1 character for 3k gold for 30 days. It sounded a bit suspicious, he even gave me the card number first. A couple of days later I get hacked. Is this coincidence or does it have to do with buying the game time card?

Coincidence, but don't be too surprised when your account is locked because the game time was bought on a stolen credit card.

You got hacked because you downloaded something.
It has nothing to do with buying a gametimecard ingame.

the "hacker" tells blizzard he got hacked on mluong21s account, they ask him for something to prove it is his account, he gives blizz the gtc number and so blizz gives him acces to the account
      why should blizz check logs?

you should get suspicous when you get gametime cards on these low prices

What, that seems flawed that you can get someones account by providing just a GTC, when I clearly lost access to a bought account I proved I paid for it and wanted my money back, they told me when I send in a valid ID they will give me game time credit.. I was like wtf no I'll just chargeback, peace..

How did they know I paid? well I used my paypal email which had my name on it and was the same email registered to the battle.net account before the guy took ownership back.. fucking blizzard lately

They are starting to look like bank of america to me, after closing a new auction house vanilla account b/c i invited myself to guild, took out couple k on each toon to buy mining/herb bags then closed it telling me i was associated to exploitative accounts.. lawl

I believe you said someone can gain access to an account by providing just the game time code. I said this seems pretty flawed that they would allow this.

When I first started botting, I bought an 80 warrior from playerauctions, I had paid for it 3 months (1 month at a time) from my paypal before the original owner took it back. He took it back the day after it renewed, I went to them and said I lost access, they told me to send in an ID.

Of course I cant send in the ID bc I bought it from PA, so it wasnt under my name. At the time of correspondence, I was emailing from the same email I used for paypal subscription, which was also the same as the battle.net where I had the account on, they told me they wouldnt refund my gametime nor was that enough to regain access to the account, and only sort of reimbursement would be if I proved through ID that I owned the account, that they would then give me game time credit for the days the account was locked.
