Just wondering why the Alpha Profiles or w/e are sticky in the tested profiles forum, There not even very good, or Complete. Just think it is miss-informative usually a stickied post is Important or in High regard. or is it just because the Creator is a mod?

Well if your testing them with the latest HB build expect them to be rubbish since the quest behaviour's are screwed up again, also the Alpha profile's are created by the mod of that section Kickazz and i have tested all of the cata profile's and they worked wonder's with minimum interaction and most of the thing's that it got stuck on was bug's with the HB core and not the profile.

A development status that usually means the first feature complete version of a program or application, that is most likely unstable.

Some users are very good at helping to find bugs/problems, which helps the profile maker troubleshoot & move from alpha release --> beta release faster. I've used the alpha Deepholm & Twilight Highlands - Deepholm is quite good imo, TH quite a bit more complicated so not as far along...but still rather babysit the profile & let it guide me to npc's/quest objective areas rather than looking for that crap my self. Haven't tried the Uldum/Mount Hyjal yet, but I have more rep to grind so I'll be checking them out soon.

I challenge you to do better, I really do. Go ahead, start from scratch and do a full cata zone profile. Or do what I did and pump out 4 in 1 weeks time.

and it's in the *submitted* forums. The tested forums do have a few profiles, and they are damn near bugless.

Now, the biggest issue I have from moving from Alpha to Beta are the behaviors. Learn to code C# and give me some behaviors and this will help me, too.

I don't see very many people attempting to make questing profiles. I see a few random odds and ends, and then the creators get tired of people who are ignorant and won't post logs and are very vague and they drop the project. At least with being a mod, I can delete their ignorant posts and tell them to post a log instead

The biggest issue is that the user fails to read the first 3-4 posts that I stuck in there... the ones that say "this is an alpha profile" "post a log" "you will have to babysit these quests" "do not use this while afk" "this is still in development" and then they are like "hey, why do i have to interact with it???" or "i was stuck on X for 4 hours and got reported"

I need to know of issues such as that. I don't have 100 accounts and 100 pair of eyes to watch everything. I develop them, post the profile, and wait for the logs to roll in so I can fix them. Then after a few weeks I go back around and re-flow them and give them the attention that they need. atm I'm waiting before more behaviors before I start messing w/ the Cata profiles, and adding flying to BC, adding flying to LK, and re-flowing LK so it has a lot more quests

I think most of the profiles are pretty damn good i think people just fail to read directions

first of all chill out and this goes to all off you :)

our profile devs(including Kick) are doing their best to give us nice profiles
this requires a lot of hard work and time

its not easy to make a profile and once its made requires a lot of tests

Kick, your profiles are awesome and a lot of us here appreciate what you do for us. Sometimes I think some of the people that complain here thinks it's a one button click hack that gets you to 85. IMO if you can't do better don't complain.
