Hello all, Just want to say I have been playing this game for 5 years and never once used a bot. Well a friend of mine introduced me to HB so I decided to give it a shot considering I couldn't bear the pain of leveling a 4th character. 1 hour after I started the bot grinding mobs in Outlands, I had my account suspended. Lets just say that I will be sticking with legitimate gameplay from now on. However, I did find HB to be interesting and easy. Also, my friend had his main account and 2 vanilla accounts perma banned. Below is the answer they gave me to my 2nd appeal. 1)Were you using Honorbuddy, Gatherbuddy or both on the account? LoL what version of HB you used??? I have been botting since november last year... and never got any problems... I use quest bot, BG, gather... archeology all of them... I do create profiles and CS for my chars and never got any problems... for just 1 hour and you got banned???? or you were already flagged or someone was watching you botting and reported to GM and GM when there right away... That is the only reason for you getting banned that fast. Bad luck I think...
Theres just something about grinding in outland they don't like lol. Did you watch it bot for that hour? Perhaps you were doing the backandforth dance with a fence for that hour, I've seen people doing that I don't know how many time while im out and and about in azeroth. The only account I've ever had banned was grinding in outland with glider about 3-4 years ago.
I would assume I was using the most recent version of HB since I just downloaded and installed it on Mar 23rd. I watched it do its business and seen no back and forth dances.
Do bot since GB Bannwave and recieved not on other Ban so far accept from the wowgremlin Bannwave so i dont believe it was Warden

I just recently got a suspension on my mage I was leveling in Northrend using Amplify. Got a 72 hour as well. Although I bot a ed excessively been doing it for about 4-5 years so it doesn't much matter since its just a 72 hour.
For them to take definitive action within an hour they must have had definitive proof Had you been discussing it in game with your friend? sounds like you both got banned at the same time from the way you write it, Its possible they were onto him already and you got taken down also. Also i presume you were not botting from the same net connection/ip
Any time I have had a suspension, it has always been after grinding anywhere in Outlands (though normally Zangramarsh) or in Dragonblight or Shalozar Basin in Northrend. I dont think I have actually had a ban using HB/GB yet...my memory is a bit fuzzy...so many accounts. Anyhow, I would suggest that if you want to add toons to your main account and not have to hand level them, splurge on getting a second WOW account, use the same last name as your main account when signing up but do not use the same Battlenet account. Level using the bot on this account only and then pay the small fee and transfer the botted toons to your main account. I am now one toon shy of having 10 lvl 85 on my main ...started with 1 hand leveled...and I have made a few farmer accounts with 1 toon to 85. Again, a couple temp suspends on toons lvl 62-68 but nothing serious. Waited a week or so and went right back at it. My main is safe because I don’t bot it, I have lots of 85’s, I have lots of gold from my farmers and very little cost when you sit down and think about it. Hell, anything is worth not having to sit there and crank out the same old quests over and over again on different toons.
I've only ever had a single suspension, and it was while grinding in outlands. Seems to be a bit of a pattern.
I agree with the no grinding in Outland sentiment. Just got a 72 hour ban myself after grinding for fireflies.
To the earlier question.. yes I have bought gold.. once in vanilla like 4 years ago. And it was only 100g. I've had a 48 hr suspension before for overly graphic and explicit language in a battleground. My friend and I did get banned around the same time but it wasn't from the same IP, nor did we ever communicate in game about it. He is my neighbor though and sometimes I will go over to his place or he comes over to mine and we log on our accounts. After doing some more research a few people from my server all got banned around the same time so it sounds like a GM did some grind bot hunting on my server (if they even do that). Sounds like a lot of others from here got hit for 72hrs with a grind bot too. So I might continue running HB with another acct of mine using the questing bots. Quick question though... If both of my 2 accounts are registered to the same name, but not the same email address, and one gets suspended or banned.. will the other account get the same action taken against it?
So you share computers and IP's then. Im gonna go out on a limb here... You got caught because of your friend. They banned his vanilla account (for gold selling I guess) and saw that your account was used on the same computer and IP as your friends.
I have several accounts with the same name and Ive never had them all banned at once because of the name. I do believe however that if you are using the same visa for multiple accounts you can end up losing them all. I'm not 100% positive but I think I read something along those lines on various botting forums.
After this post i have doubts about using HB Is it better to use some static ip address? At least u can say to blizz "OMG I GOT SCAMMED!!!"
That doesn't really work. If you get reported it is very rare to get imidiatly banned. They have blue posted this a few time, after receiving X amount of reports your account begins to be monitored. They will wait months at a time sometimes before banning. You: ZOMG I got hacked and someone has been using my acct to farm. GM: Your account has been doing this for months and you just noticed it? /GG GTFO
