So my question is, how many listings is it 'safe' to make per day, and does it make a difference if you list a few from alts, do they see per char or per account? I'm selling leather. Cheers
It seems to me like its more a result of people reporting mass auctions, not an actual check on a number. Bans arent consistent enough to be a built in check on the AH. Just dont go throwing large numbers of auctions for a specific item up at once. I throw 10-15 of each item up at a time and I'm fine, I just post more when that round is bought. It slows down the gold gain a little bit, but its safer.
I hate the fucking botters that list 600 volatiles in singles on bank alts named shit like, "Kjadjgj"
I hate everyone that posts masses of singles on AH.... It makes me have to wade through pages of useless crap before I can buy stacks. Even worse when the singles are all that's available; makes me have to click hundreds of times for the amounts I usually need. That's why I get away with posting stacks for more then the singles are posted for; people tend to value ease of buying more then they do gold. So they'd rather pay a little more to get 20 per click. Anyway.... I usually have between 100 and 200 auctions running at a time but never more then 10 of a given item.
I personally agree with what most are saying. Its not necessarily a # of auctions, but a # of the same auction along with consistent postings. If you keep 10-20 of a given item posted 90% of the time or you're the undercutter that everyone hates, you'll get random pissed off reports that could lead to investigation. I'm not saying I'm right by no means, but no one likes a monopoly on a certain item or a rediculous abundance (posting 1 of a dust that takes up 10 pages in the AH). I do know I've been posting over 400 various auctions a day for 3-4 months, I sell around 68% (the remaining get relisted a few days later) of the items I post and I've yet to be banned.
