I usually dont buy cata on my leveling toons until they hit 80, if I dont have flying in old world will I be at a huge disadvantage? I'm interested to test this out as my paladins are 60 now edit nvm guess u need cata for archeo anyway
It depends what you mean by best. It's definitely not the fastest without level 70 flying speed, but yes it is constant and very little downtime if you have the correct nodes blacklisted. I generally leave my HB to do ArchBuddy over night, it's a little safer than IB while sleeping imo. You aren't going to match the 250-350k avg from LFD in the 60-70 bracket with archaeology, though. And now that I've started doing my horde toons through LK I have found that Questing is the fastest if you can monitor HB. I'm getting around 500-600k xp/hr questing unrested while doing archaeology scores me only roughly 300k xp/hr on my 70-80 toons (with 280% flying speed and guild perk). http://www.thebuddyforum.com/honorbuddy-forum/classes/paladin/12550-simple-70-holy-pve-cc.html This is a good healing paladin healing CC. Pally was one of my first 85s a while back, I may have just done DPS from 1-85 on him. If you can get the holy CC to work I recommend it over DPS for speed, though.
i tottaly agree the best way from 60 to 85 is archaelogy!! don't go above 375 if you do, after lvl 80 he will go at high lvl areas like uldum or twillight highlands and that will make it harder..... don't forget to buy 280 speed at 70 lvl and 310 at 80!!! and its 100% afk!!! if you want rep with guild maybe you should do quest profiles after 80 or 81, if you do at 85 is more guild rep ofc....and at last don't forget to wear the new tabard if you are doing quests for more guild rep!!
Well I'm definately doing instance buddy from now on, I was leveling 5 toons, one just hit 80 and I used instance buddy for most of 60-70.. my other 4 are 65, 66, 67, and 46.. just had the 66 and 67 BANNED (not even a suspension) for hacks from using the 1-68 tubajed questing profile, they were both in the same place (I emailed back saying proposterous, cause it is) questing on diff servers so makes me wonder.. but I'm going to take the 65 and the 46 and use IB for them for 60-70.. if I get the other two I'll IB them 60-70. Funny how that works. Sent back one email to fight one account then hotmail told me my account is blocked for unusual activity and now have to wait for reply from support to unblock my account so I can send my 2nd email to fight the 2nd ban.. lol. I mean they only had vanilla + BC but PITA leveling them to 67.
Hahaha man I was booted from a 5 man yesterday cos some little prick who probably hand levelled every class in the game kept typing in caps "YOUR NOT PULLING RIGHT, L2TANK" Was funny as hell. Oh well yeah, certainly dont tank on a DK. I later went in as dps and it was ok though I didnt have a metre running so not sure how effective I was at DPS.
Ive seen someone bitch about a silent DK in a 5 man cause he used the wrong presence, I voted no on the kick though
It's funny because my paladin hit 68, and doesnt haev WOTLK yet so it shows the expansions, but instancebuddy doesnt have ramparts as a choice, but it still auto selects it in the game and this makes me worried bc you said it wasnt fully afkable.. i'd rather get to 70 before buying wrath.. so its doing furnace/ramparts/crypts
My warlock had a pretty terrible time doing UK. The groups would skip a pull right in front of a set of stairs and the warlock would freak out trying to find his way up there and pull them on accident and die. Then trying to run back, he'd end up walking into the flame wall at the beginning because another pack was skipped. Every other instance worked fine and dandy though, I'm just saying be careful with UK. <3 My DK would be fine for hours, even though my groups were mad because he kept using Death Grip.
