Hey guys, I know the risks etc, but i just wanted to get advice on the best ways to get gold from my botting account my main, dw if i lose my accounts then it would suck but whatever ill bounce back and bot even harder haha Anyways what are the best ways, transferring between guild banks etc isn't really an option, so would a good way be via the AH, or simply just trade the gold for an item, though i though that would be to obvious. Anyways would appreciate some advice. Cheers
why's guildbank not an option? just create a dummy guild..spam in the main city for signatures, then kick everyone out that's not you. or...you can even let them stay to make it more "legit"...give them like 5G/day repair...then it looks more legit imo. i still have random people in my guild, as well as a couple of friends who are allowed to take things out if they want to. random people will help you level the guild up, as well...
i would say that guild bank is the best option, while auction house is second, you can even transfer from horde to ally that way or ally to horde.
Why is this not an option? If you have a private herb/ore buyer then you only need to make one toon on a vanilla account to trade with and put gold back in gbank in return for the mats the farmer deposited. If you have yet to establish a good buyer connect(s) then make 2-3 toons(all in farmer guild) on the vanilla account and auction things off on each never totaling more than 50 stacks at a time and never more then 20 of any one thing otherwise people will see your shit and go "well I wonder where he got all this"

I don't know about you guys, but I simply just mail large portions to my other toons that need it. I have on an occasion or two, sent mail to the wrong name and some lucky punk got a free 30k gold. At times like that, I just call blizz and tell them to resend me my gold as it was a typo and my problem is fixed. I don't really see the big fuzz over hiding your gold transactions really, in my opinion, it would make it more obvious something was up. But, everyone has their own way of transfering I suppose.
swiftzoom, so do you mean trasnferring gold via characters on the same account or characters on different accounts?
I have a mutual guild bank between my bot and my main. I keep all of the gold in the gbank, but my main is the GM so I can pull out whatever I need. I only bot for personal use. Sitting on 400-500k currently. Gunning for a million.
400-500k nice, i only bot for personal use as well, being the fact i obviously play my main, raids etc, so the money goes towards him and gearing, as well as my alts, with having a guild bank, how many other chars do u have in the guild, and are they just ur chars from the one account or do u get some mates to chuck in alts to make it look more realistic?
Back in the days of glider I had 2 guild banks and 2 accounts. My main account had GM of both guilds and the bots were both members of the guilds. I had 2-3 friends that each put one toon into the guild in case both my accounts got banned then they'd still have access to it. Now though, its just my main and bot accounts that are in the guild. I don't really see it being an issue. I recently had my account hacked (stupid curse client) and blizzard restored all my gold and gbank items that the person stole. What's funny is that they hacked my main account, so when I realized this I got on my bot account and kept doing /trade with the hacker so they couldn't keep the gbank open long enough to do much. He then kicked me from the guild but didn't put me on ignore.
Make a toon on your main account, any level will do, and create a guild with this toon as GM. Create a toon on your bot account and put that toon in the same guild with full access to everything. Bot and make gold on your botting account and put the gold in the guild bank. Take the gold out as you need it on your main account. I normally take odd amounts out of the bank and never make a withdrawal immediately after the gold was placed in the bank. That looks a bit too much like gold selling to me so I avoid it in case Blizz things the same. I only mail large sums of gold between toons on the same account as, in my experience, Blizz doesn’t care if you transfer gold between your own toons but they seem to be watching large transfers between separate accounts as that looks like gold selling. It is nothing for me to mail a few hundred thousand gold between my main account toons and I have never had an issue so far. However, I made the mistake a couple of weeks ago, once and only once, of sending a large amount of gold (40k or so) from my Auction House account (a non botted account) to a toon on my main (also non botted) and got slammed with an abuse of economy on both accounts. I had to provide an account recovery form for both accounts to get them back and I do not like having to do those types of things. It was my mistake for simply typing in the name of the wrong toon but it had me worried for an entire day until my account restoration was approved. I was very glad to get my main account back as I don’t bot on it for fear of losing it and didnt want to see it go over a foolish 40k mistake. I now only use the guild bank method to transfer gold. Just for perspective, one mail transfer of 40k or so gets two of my non botted accounts suspended but the guild bank method allows me to transfer a couple million gold over a 6 month period or so without raising any concern whatsoever. I will stick with what I know works.
I transfer to both, same account and other accounts. I even mail bulks to my friends every so often, as well as giving some random sap 20k for upgrading mount speeds and whatnot. I don't really have a problem with Blizz intruding on me much at all.
Join a high level popular guild on both accounts. Even with level ones or bot them to 14 or so. Mail gold from one character/account to the other. Recieve instantly. Doesn't look suspicious. Problem solved xD.
thx for all your help guys, its really good advice, im doing to do the gbank option and will set it up when home from work i have mailed 30k before in 10k lots but i think personal its abit suspicious like some of you have said, but thats just my opinion
