I was botting on my farming toon one night when I suddenly received first an email that Blizzard themselves have resetted my password and requests that I choose a new password. The second email was something I've never seen before: This is a bit of a problem when I try to recover the account. Mainly because, this account was bought from a reseller and I do not possess a copy of the ID. I'm curious as to the cause of this as well as if there is any loophole to get around submitting a valid ID. Cheers!
I honestly think this could be fake.... I got the exact same email but it was far more specific and worded differently. Just my opinion. Check the legitimacy of this email and the origin of the address perhaps?
if the acct is not locked - ignore the email if the acct is locked - contact the seller if no response in 3 days - contact blizzard and tell them that the account was sold to you and the seller took it back by force and you want it permanently banned
I got the exact same thing, and people called me a idiot in the thread i created. I got my account back very easily, i called up the number that is provided in the email I said i went away for a few weeks and haven't had access to my account They say looks like someone was botting, play stupid They ask for your secret q/a and it then they reactivate it. They did not ask me for the IDs of the acc (thank god) Give it a try, hope it works.
dude never buy accounts u gear that char up make some gold on it and they just take it back stupid buying one man
I got those same emails last night, I had to go to battlenet site and recover acc/make new pw. I was also farming all day and still logged in when those emails came. It says my account was compromised, but it wasn't... Really no idea why I got those emails, spooked me for a bit. It is from the real blizzard too. Maybe they're up to something.
