First of all sorry if this isn't in the rite section My problem is that my warlock has BOA (only 2 pieces) gear and is getting abit ahead of Kicks 1-60 questing profile that was included in his SVN download - he is staying in the area around North Straglathorn and is only doing green quests and killing grey mobs. What can i do about this? is their anyway to tell the profile what level my character is and advance from there? Thanks, Heineken
Hi, Heineken, Kick's profiles are built with Checkpoints--that's a good thing. But, they're turned off by default, as many people are after a large 'quest complete' number, or as close to a 'zone achievement' as they can get. To enable the checkpoints, find the line that looks like this... <QuestOrder IgnoreCheckpoints="True"> and change it to... <QuestOrder IgnoreCheckpoints="False"> Once you do this, you will need to stop/start Honorbuddy every so often to have it 'resync' back up to your level via Checkpoints. This stop/start should skip over what are now green/grey quests. But this 'skipping' doesn't happen by quest color, it does it by toon level with respect to where the profile was designed to be questing for that level. The one thing you might bump into... There might be a quest before a checkpoint that starts or continues a quest chain. If you skip that, after the Checkpoint, the profile may try to do another quest in that same chain and be unable to, because you skipped a pre-req quest. If this happens, you can go back and do the pre-req quest manually, or just comment out the follow-on quest in the profile. cheers, chinajade
Awesome thanks heaps for the reply, yeah that Checkpoint method sounds like the go for me, so is that what other people do when HB get ahead of their level? or do most people just leave it to complete what ever needs to be done? Edit: My <QuestOrder IgnoreCheckpoints="True"> are already turned on?
People do different things. I'm one to "let it go"... impatience (to get level, to get coin, to get mats) is a good way to get banned, imho. If you reread the previous post, you see that we're trying to get you to turn OFF the IgnoreCheckpoints. Its turned on by default. cheers, chinajade
