Good day. I can't post a message I got since it's not in English, but this is my story:

Never used HB for gathering or any other form of gold acquisition, never used it to level characters and farm honor in BGs. The only thing I did is camping rares (uldum/deepholm/vash'jir) and farming some reputations (repeatable quest for sporeggar, farming obsidian warbeads). I probably went a bit overboard with Uldum -- was flying in circles there for hours every day.

But still, my account is not 'WoW1' -- it's an old Vanilla account, with collection editions and various redeemed codes, I raid a lot, do dungeons and dailies by hand.

Yesterday after the raid I decided to do a few rounds in Uldum MANUALLY. Suddenly got disconnected and couldn't log back in. Got an automated response about 72h ban for '3rd party software/hacks'. Appealed immidiately but got a response saying that 'they've ran a thorough check which guarantees that I've been using hacks'. I didn't use the 'hacked' trump card, I basically explained that I watch TV while camping rares, occasionally touching the keyboard to not afk, and that I spend a lot of time in WoW (that's actually true, I have a lot of 24h+ 'manual' sessions in my wow career).

I wonder if I should go all-out on this one, call their phone support and so on. Or am I drawing unneeded attention this way? Just seems pretty ridiculous to get 72h for this while my realm is flooded by BG bots and gathering bots, the same names every day, unbanned.

Take the 72 hour...WOW gona be buggy for a day or two anyhow with the new patch and HB will be down anyhow. Then just go back to doing what you do regularly. I dont fight so they will not look furrther into an account and those accounts that link to it. Depends on the GM looking into it at the time IMO. Better safe than sorry.

phone them, ask them what the fuck is going on. act ignorant and like you lost control of your account, but be weary this might get your ban upgraded to permanent.

Well usually when I get 72 hrs, I appeal, and keep on appealing on the battle.net website. They eventually give it back.

      My story?

"I barely know how to play WoW, how man I going to bot on it, let alone "hack" it."

Seems to always work. At least for me that is.

Meh, looks like I'll have to stick with it. Or is it a good idea to drop a e-mail to wowconcernseu or whatever that address was?

don't know... had 3 suspensions on 3 accounts exactly same time, after appealing suspension got lifted, few hours later i had 3 permanent bans. after appealing 2of them got lifted, one stays banned. all 3 accounts did completly the same before. questbot and trading in ah. i don't know what the hell blizzard makes bans and unbans. it's just so arbitrary.

You should always call them and not e-mail them in my opinion.

I always fight them. I could care less waiting out 3 days or not, but taking the 72 hour ban kind of admits your guilt. Besides, they most likely keep records of your 72 hour bans. I personally like a clean slate.

Replying to wowgmeu email (the one I've received the auto-message from) doesn't seem to have any effect, they don't respond. Account recovery also didn't help in the slightest.

Still I'm amazed. Simply flying through uldum (no mining/herbing), 1 hour of grinding ogres in Nagrand for warbeads and 2 hours of sporeggar repeatable quest. Vanilla account with collector's editions and I get a 72h... That's more than strange.

It really depends on the situation, I've appealed 72H banned before, and they locked my account until I verified myself, my ban was due to botting...
