So, yesterday I received a 72 hour suspension for "hacking" the standard email and all. I have, since I started botting this toon, always been in the same room while it is running in order to make sure I don't receive tells or it's not running into a wall. I also try to talk to my guild mates and friends every once in a while. I immediately (within 5 minutes at most) responded to the email and opened a ticket stating my innocence. Within an hour, for the first time in my lonnnng botting career, I was unsuspended and received an apology. BTW, I've only been using quest bot and occasionally IB with this toon. Today I decided I would just hand level from now on, since the character is pretty close to being topped off anyways. I've been questing all day legitimately, talking to my friends, .etc. I'm almost 100% sure I don't have HB running in processes, no folder is open, the link to this site wasn't open, .etc. Just 10 minutes ago I get kicked off, upon trying to relog I get the suspension message. I check my email and now I get an email that says I'm banned permanently for hacking. What doesn't make sense to me is they give you a suspension for botting and then if you bot again they ban you, so why did I get banned for not botting? I've always fought my 72 hours, I always lose, and then 6 months later I bot and I'm fine. This time I got banned for not even doing anything. Do you think they just fucked up? I appealed again, I'm just going to be really pissed off if I get banned for playing the game legitimately.
Logging into WoW is a bannable offense. On a serious note.. Do you think anything you were doing may have triggered Warden to Ban you?
Well they just unbanned me, but stated that hacks i.e. bots, .etc were a bannable offense and followed it by saying that after a thorough review my account would be unbanned due to the account's history and standing. Should I just wipe HB off my laptop? Does HB modify any of the WoW files? I can't think of why they would ban me other than the fact that I've played 8 hours today and when I was botting it was usually 8-12 hours. Other than the length of time played, I'm playing WoW just like the 10 million other subscribers. The odd thing is, the last time I got banned was very similar; I was leveling up a Death Knight, just as I am now. I was suspended in Northrend, just as I was now. Do they track DKs differently since they start at level 55? I don't want to get into conspiracy theories but it is an odd coincidence. My main concern is what if they decide I was hacking/botting again, which I won't be in any capacity, and ban my account for good. I've never had anything like this happen and I just want to get rid of anything that might be the culprit.
That's not the case. I had a perma ban on an account that was active for 2 1/2 years. I tried to get it overturned because they skipped the 72 hr ban and went straight to permanent, but couldn't sway them.
This happened to me today bambam. I got the 72 hour suspension for "hacking"..I just ignored it and said fuck it its 3 days. Grinded today and got the ban. I emailed and said I didnt hack what so ever. Botting is considered 3rd person party program or whatever so how do i get out of this?
