I was always around the bot, or asleep right next to it. To a friend, under the table cash. 10)EU or US realm? US 72 Hour suspension for botting. I don't understand how they got me, I baby sat the damn thing like 95% of the time. I responded to every person that whispered me or what not. I'm curious to how they found out, but I think I might know now. I keep seeing 72 hour suspensions. Could it be the update detecting HB? *ADDED PART* I found out on the phone it was from botting, and they detected 3rd party software, such as botting programs. I think it has to do with where my program was possibly or they are just full of crap. I more stray to how I botted caught me, not the software. Good news is I got my account back before 72 hours.
If it detected HB then the bot would be shut of by admins. You have two options. Wait out your 72 hour suspension or bitch your ass off. I did the latter option about 30 mins ago and got my account back after having it submitted for not even 10 mins. But as some other forum users say. If you make an appeal, a real person will review your account. The 72 hour was most likely an automated thing suspending you. When you involve a real person, they might see you were botting and perma ban you. its your choice.
I did call them up, and gave them bullshit like what's botting, is it my addons and some more about could I been hacked or what not or a virus, but the guy never said anything about redeeming my account, he just said go to your security options and use that code thingy just in case someone is hacking your account or what not so you can be safe. So I'm still suspended, and he did look my account over and said it was do to botting, and he put my ticket as resolved, and I just re-submitted another ticket. So I really don't know what's going on, but I hope I get an answer back soon. I wonder maybe if this bot is like glider. I remember they said never put the bot in the wow directory, and mine was in my personal folder away from wow and wow is on my C:\Wow directory, so I wonder how they detected the bot? I baby sat the damn thing 95% of the time.
I feel you bro, My account go banned twice in the last week (both times were overturned).. I think its like the one guy said, its just automated, try switching it up alittle and maybe running quest profile and babysitting it, Kick has some really good profiles which I am using now.
I think I saw this on another thread but one guy said just do instances, battle grounds, and take breaks. I did take breaks but not often, and I did use a quest profile so it seemed like I was actually playing instead of grinding for hours, what could of also got me is the weird hours. I stay up really late, and I do watch it. I don't know how they still caught me. F*** em I say. I'm going to switch it up like ya said, and bot normal hours of the day. One thing I'm curios about, where you put your folder at, do you rename the folder, do you rename the exe, how should I go about hiding the executable? Also, rename your HonorBuddy.exe file to something else. Blizzard use to scan your system and a name like that running in services would make it kinda easy on them. Now, they were suppose to stop scanning peoples systems because it was an invasion of privacy, but... anyways... find some obscure path for your HB folder... then rename the .exe, personally, I name the exe to ventrilo.exe =) It may not actually do much good, but I figure every little bit helps. I botted all last week VERY heavily with no trouble . Yesterday, I got the updated HB and didn't rename the .exe. I also ran the same profile you did and got a 72h. Reversed in about an hour or so with an apology. So it could very well be an overused profile that that they are tracking. I'm gonna try modifying some of these profiles so they aren't just like the others... see if that helps.
heya everyone, when my friend helped me set it up, he said to call the HB folder something nothing to do with HB, so i named it Photos and its on my desktop, he also said to rename the .exe file so mine is windowsmessenger.exe, i botted nearly 60k honor in like a week and a half and i haven't been caught yet. so i dont know maybe these precautionary measures are worth taking, even though they seemed a little stupid to begin with.
I don't get it , you get banned for 72hour for botting while monitoring it. Yet i bot 24/7 with zero monitoring.
pretty sure one of the following things: a) too much items on auction house, abuse of economy gets a lot of people banned as they are too stupid (soory but that's how it is) to think before posting thousand items on ah every day b) something happend while you've been afk /sleeping and you did not recognize it You should NOT create threads with "72 Hour suspension for botting" title if you just don't know 100% why you've been suspended. Such threads just start "panic waves" and poeple start creating "is the bot detected?" threads over and over. I always tell the friends and people that start with botting and ask me how long or much they should bot this: "Just bot, x hours / in area xyz as a normal player would do too" that's just a simple rule and it will keep you unrecognized buy other players and blizzard. If you wanna rage, fine, do it. But keep in mind that this is unhuman behaviour and gets blizzs attention much faster. Noone, farms in the same area for 24 hours straight....you'd go crazy. Change areas, do some small brakes /disconnects between botting, change characters...etc.
I know, it's retarded. I didn't have any friends added to my buddy list besides battle.net friends which I have 2, and I'm not in any guilds. Also before this I my directory was This is my path for HB C:\Users\JohnDoe\newfolder\h\Honorbuddy.exe I'm starting to think it's because I didn't take many breaks, didn't talk much to my friends, and wasn't in any guilds, and possibly the directory it was in.
They did tell me that I was suspended for botting. They told me over the phone when I called about. The woman told me that they detected 3rd party software such as a botting program. I don't know how they knew that part. It doesn't matter now, I like your advice though. I'm now just reading through other bans and opinions on it to figure out the best way to lay low, but I like yours the best. Thanks man. =)
