Hello, I opened a brand new WoW account (I have not played or had open accounts in a few years) and bought Honorbuddy. I used the default plugins and the relogger on your website. 3 days later, my account was closed because I had been abusing the chat system (spam etc). Apparently the account was compromised -- there was nothing about the use of bots. I have never in my 12 years of mmorpg playing had an account compromised before, so I find this extremely suspicious.
I haave opened several accounts, helped several friends starts botting, i have never ever been hacked or alike. So either unlucky or you might've spammed/been reported for spamming alot
It is not HB. One thing you need to understand is HB is a company, not some 2bit coder in his moms basement. This is as likely as your bank stealing money out of your bank account.
First, it was not due to any actual spam on my part. I've sent about two messages total (it's a brand new account), and none of them was in a public channel. Second, I am not actually suspecting Honorbuddy. It would be absolutely nonsensical for HB to take people's accounts, especially ones with 1 level 25 hunter with 7 gold on it. You'd lose your customers pretty quickly if you did. I do however strongly suggest investigating ARelog at http://www.thebuddyforum.com/releases/30506-%5Btest%5D-arelog-simple-free-relogger-honorbuddy.html Consider that i've never had any accounts compromised before, or ever really had any problems with hacks/keyloggers in 12 years of online gaming. The plugin above was my only one. Note that the only account compromised was the one I inserted information for in it. There are strong grounds for suspicion. Edit: The plugin gets even more suspicious when considering the fact that my real account, which I have logged onto recently, has not been touched. It's a pretty good account. However, I have not tried to use the relogger with it.
As i've already written, I am not suspecting HB. I am however suspecting a plugin available on your forums. Please understand that I have not been keylogged, phished or even scammed before in 12 years of online gaming. This is very unlikely to be a case of me screwing up by downloading some suspicious file off the internet or falling for a phishing a scam. What I did do was download a relogger from your boards which demands inserting account information, but I did so because it was endorsed by upstanding members of this community.
Yes, I am. I was clearer in a previous post. http://www.thebuddyforum.com/releases/30506-[test]-arelog-simple-free-relogger-honorbuddy-41.html <-- This is the plugin I am referring to. I can honestly think of nothing else that could possibly be to blame. I'll list the facts for you. 1. I've barely been online on this computer the past week (other than some botting since I got HB 3 or so days ago). I have certainly not been phished or downloaded anything remotely suspicious (apart from said relogger, from the proper link). 2. My main account which is of real interest to a hacker is unharmed, even though it has been logged into within the same timeframe as the compromised account. These accounts differ by only the latter having had its information inserted into the relogger. 3. ARelogger is the only plugin I have downloaded (apart from a quest plugin which came with a widely used profile). 4. My computer is recently reformatted, and has not been seriously infected in years. Of course, this is not damning proof by any means, and it is evident that others are using the relogger without problems. Nevertheless I believe it is sufficient to direct some suspicion towards it, especially considering that the thread is fairly new and also very recently updated.
ARelog is the official Hb relogger Raphus is the creator and he is a well known member of Buddy Team so you have to check somewhere else where the fault is
There is nowhere else, I am almost completely certain about that. It is possible, I suppose, that Blizzard suspended the account temporarily for some other reason, such as botting, or logging on with extreme lag (I had connection problems earlier today), and then gave a completely false reason for it. Their given reason (abusing the chat system) could not possibly be true, as I did nothing that could be interpreted as such in anyone's wildest dreams.
